The historic Mayfair Hotel in downtown Searcy is closing and the building must be vacated by Aug. 31. Frame shop owner and artist Terry Williams has three apartments and two work rooms full of things to be liquidated. He is retiring.

Items include original art, framed prints, empty frames, framing supplies, wood-working tools and machinery such as saws, compressors, vises, a laser printer and a wet sander. He is also selling the contents of his retail shop, which includes vintage comics and paperbacks, wood carvings by Arkansas artists, custom-framed art prints, Native American prints, easels, stands and bookcases.

Terry has framed several new pieces for the occasion, including some antique Japanese watercolors and fishing-themed prints.
