Huge 5,100+ Item Rita Ranch Estate Sale!! Diverse and Unique! Something for Everyone!

This is a family-owned estate sale where the prep work was nearly 7 months long, where we had three different estate sale companies come out to the house late in 2024 who were not all that interested because of all the many boxes and clutter, disorganization, and then maybe having to go through two storage facilities!!!!  They can be happy that they made the right decision!! :) Wouldn't have been worth it for these companies. 

Two family members spent a tremendous amount of time on this project.  We went through nearly 400 boxes, unpacking them, sorting the items, and spent the time to CLEAN 95%+ of the items.  This is a Large, 5,100+ item Estate Sale (no, contemporary silverware are not counted as maybe "items" ) in a PACKED, medium sized house with items across at least 30 major categories.  It is important to note that there were absolutely no items added from any other people because there was no room for it!! :)  We had to even give away about 400 items.  Between 50 and 75 photos are coming on Monday evening, with more than 100 additional photos coming on Thursday evening / Friday morning.

From our research of prices from at least 17-18 different estate sales that we attended in the Tucson area, we believe we are right at that level of pricing (a few prices slightly higher and a few prices slightly lower ), if not even slightly lower in price on the major items.  This estate sale should look maybe similar to an estate sale company run sale.  But the differences are that we have NO SALES TAX (by law, because we are not in business ) and from what you will read below! :)

Antique 1920s Austrian Acacia wood dining set (very reasonably priced, comes with dining table that can seat 8, six chairs, wine cabinet, china cabinet, and buffet. )  Large Pieces can be purchased individually as well, although there is a discount for purchasing the entire dining set.

Antique 1890s to 1910s, beautiful Loveseat and two Antique Chairs from the same era.  All three were refinished in 2004.  Can buy all three as a set or individually.  This is also reasonably priced despite the refinishing of the items, although slightly higher in price because of this.

Two Antique Gunn Barrister, 4 Stack Bookcases from the 1910s.  They match, but one of the bookcases is slightly different in that it has a writing desk.  They were both refinished in 1997 and are both in excellent 9.5/10 condition!  Very reasonably priced, but the refinishing of the two items was factored in, so slightly higher in price maybe.

Lots of Jewelry!  Nearly all of it is lower to mid range jewelry, reasonably priced and we have a wide selection of necklaces, bracelets, an antique/vintage pocket watch, watches, pendants, sterling silver small pendants, earrings, much Southwestern Style jewelry! (although maybe only 2 pieces that are genuine Native American ), rings, and broaches.

300+ Items of nice, Women's CLOTHES!  Many of these are vintage.  Both vintage and contemporary women's clothing.  Women's sizes are M and L.  Although most of these clothes are not the high luxury, Christian Dior variety, they are mid-range to upper level with brands such as Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, etc.  About 50 items of Men's Clothes, sizes are L to XL.  Mid to upper level there, too maybe.  They have Van Heusen and lower types, Levi's, but also brands such as L.L. Bean and Ralph Lauren.  A few men's suit jackets and sportscoats.  Both women's and men's clothes are very reasonably priced!  We also have a plethora of women's scarves :), a couple dozen hats, many gloves and belts, comforters for beds, linens,  blankets, and many, both regular and designer pillows!

Around 90 pairs of women's shoes!, maybe half of them vintage and half contemporary.  There is one pair of low heel, vintage 1960s/70s Gucci shoes, but most of these shoes and heels would be mid-range to upper range such as Liz Claiborne, Donald Pliner, Clark's, etc. They are D, Medium sized and for the most part, women's sizes 8 to 9. There are also a few pairs of casual, non-athletic men's shoes, sizes 11 to 12.

Colored and Clear Glassware.  We have about 15 nice pieces of colored glassware, with a few  brands such as Pyrex.  Around 50-60 pieces of clear glassware, many of them nice!  A few nice brands, a few crystal, maybe most of them vintage. 

Lots of Wine Glasses!  Many glasses are New in Box!  Both glass and crystal wine glasses.  Many of these come in sets of between 4 and 10.  We also have something like 50 single wine glasses that have a brand or marking on the glass from a particular winery.  A few famous wineries! 

2022 Pride Mobility Quantum J6 Electric Scooter/wheelchair in nice condition and runs perfect!  Very reasonably priced with two new batteries!

Musical Instruments including Electronic Piano!  We have two guitars, one vintage 1979 Stradivarius copy 1/2 size violin with a beautiful sound, and several wooden recorders (brands such as Moeck and Yamaha. )  All reasonably priced items.  The Electronic Piano is a nice, Yamaha in excellent condition and you can play it! :)

Fine Pottery.  Standalone pottery with nice brands, sets of nice dishware such as a Laura Gates set, Dansk, and other knick knacks.

Kitchen Items.  We have over 250 kitchen items, from pots and pans, utensils, blenders, silverware, 2 sets of nice Antique silverware, 3 antique or vintage wooden cases for antique silverware, nice KitchenAid vintage mixer, blenders, many other nice, little items.

Electronics such as TVs, 2 VCRs, vintage transistor radios, tape recorders, MP3 players, other miscellaneous electronics.

Lots of Women's Handbags/Purses!  About 65 of them!  Coach, Michael Kors, etc.  Mid-range to upper level handbags and purses.  As with nearly all of our items, they are clean!

Antique books!  This is a unique item in our sale because we have around 150 antique books from the 1860s to 1930s.  Maybe we're a little bit different, but we look at the 1930s as antique! :) But most of these books are between the 1880s and 1920s.  The condition of these books is above average for the era, most of them have no missing pages  There are famous authors such as Charles Dickens, Washington Irving, Robert Louis Stevenson, and many other nice authors.  Because we have so Antique books,, they are very reasonably priced and there are two really nice Charles Dickens sets!

Baseball Cards!  A few football, basketball, hockey, and Nascar cards as well.  Not counted in the 5,100 items, obviously, are the approximately 6,000 common baseball cards from 1980 through 2011.  We have many Star cards!  Most of the baseball and sports cards are from the early 1980s through early 1990s and are very reasonably priced.  The common cards are roughly 1 cent each and we have a bin that has 10 cent cards all the way up to $1 cards.  In the 5,100 count of items, there were only maybe 300 cards that qualified at 50 cents each and above.  We also have sports cards priced from $2 to $10 each near the checkout desk.  You won't find any $500+ cards in here, but it is a nice collection.

Artwork!  This is a unique part of our estate sale :) Every room has nice paintings in it.  There are also three wall hangings for sale.  The work is very reasonably priced.  The prices are slightly below average because we have about 95 paintings up for sale!  We have hand signed prints from well known artists such as Jack Hofflander and Leslie Cope, and about 30 original oil, watercolor, or acrylics, a few of them from well known artists.

Christmas items.  We have dozens of nice Christmas items, many of them vintage, at very reasonable price.  Christmas season isn't really maybe all that far away! :) 

Vintage 1930s/1940s Donkey figurine collection.  These are all Cute little items, very reasonably priced.  About 50 of them.  A few of them have brands and are either ceramic, wooden, metal, or plastic, in general.

Furniture.  We have a nice little Breakfast/Lunch table with four bamboo chairs, slight damage but very reasonably priced and several other pieces of contemporary furniture such as a Queen Size master bedroom Ashley signature Monarch Valley collection, either oak or heavy wood Master bed frame and a matching Large Dresser, either oak or heavy wood.  This is a very reasonably priced set.

China and Antique China.  We have three main sets of China. Two of them are Antique Limoges Haviland China sets of 75 and 58 pieces each, respectively.  The 75-piece Antique Havilland China set is exquisite and it is extremely reasonably priced! We also have for sale a large, Like New Royal Worcester Gold Chantilly China set from either the 1970s or 1980s that is also very reasonably priced.  Basson Noritake teacup and saucer set.  There are many other super nice, individual pieces of Antique China and all of our China is very reasonably priced.

Rugs!  We have around 10-12 nice Oriental rugs, 5 to 6 of them large ones, about 20-25 rugs in total maybe.  

Men's and Women's Athletic Shoes and Baseball Cleats!  This was a father-son business (the son and grandson of one of the owners of the house ) back in 2016-2017.  There are around 30-35, New Nike Baseball pairs of Cleats, very reasonably priced (High school and College or baseball club team coaches, check these out! ). These New Cleats are assorted sizes from men's 8 to 14.  We also have a few slightly used, but nice baseball cleats for youth.  There are also seven used baseball and softball gloves for sale!  We also have around 55 pairs of men's Nike and Air Jordan Athletic shoes!, most of them between the years of 2000 and 2016, but a few vintage even before the year 2000.  Assorted sizes 8 to 18! Most of them are in the size 9 to size 13 range.  The shoes are all CLEAN!, slightly used, a few refurbished and are all reasonably priced (but they are certainly above the $5 to $10 normal price maybe because these are much higher end type Nike shoes. ). There are a few nice Women's Athletic and Youth shoes as well, slightly used but CLEAN, about 10 of them, assorted sizes, three new Nike women's soccer cleats, all reasonably priced items.

CDs/DVDs/Video games.  Maybe 175-200 of these, all very reasonably priced!

Lots of Bathroom items!  Many nice brands.  Knee braces, bathroom rug sets, utensils, soaps, towels, makeup bags, mirrors, hair dryers, etc.

Books!  We have over 250 books for sale, all very reasonably priced, with a wide variety of especially nonfiction, many vintage.  Most of these books are in nice condition.  We also have many different types of magazines for sale.

Tools!  We have lots of tools, very reasonably priced.  A lot of screwdrivers and things like that, but also vintage power drills and Antique Tools as well!

Comic books!  These are all from the 1930s to 1950s, in general, in nice condition and are reasonably priced items. About 45 to 50 of them, such as Captain Marvel, Archie, Walt Disney's Christmas Parade, etc.

Children's Books and Toys!  This is in a nice section of the house, all in one closet, and all of the children's books especially are very reasonably priced.  Over 125 children's books!  Board games, Play-doh ice cream cone maker, toy basketball hoops set, 2 race tracks and children's collectible toys.

Office supplies.  We have two, nice higher end Brother printers that are tested and fairly recent in age, many office utensils and new items such as envelopes and paper, all very reasonably priced items.

There is maybe a little more to this list, may have to revise slightly in the coming days!

Saturday's estate sale begins at 7:00 a.m. and runs all the way till 3:00 p.m. and will be at Full Price.  If you purchase 30 to 40 items or more or spend over about $700 maybe, we can negotiate slightly with you. Sunday will be at 30% off all items.  One of the main reasons we're not doing 50% on Sunday is because our prices are either right on or maybe 5% lower than avg., so it is similar to 40% off because of that and the No Sales Tax.
