John Moran Auctioneers is honored to present an extraordinary auction: The Estate of Robert Day. The noted philanthropist’s eclectic collection of over 700 items will be offered over two days. Day 1 features over 400 curated lots from his personal collection of fine art, silver, furniture and decorative arts, Asian works of art and rugs. Headlining the collection is a pair of monumental Tiffany & Co. 15-light sterling candelabra. Other highlights include works by Colin Campbell Cooper, Montague Dawson, Edgar Payne and William Wendt; a pair of George II style eagle console tables; antique and modern silver from the Georgian period to Buccellati; glassworks by Lalique, Baccarat and Steuben and fine porcelain dinner services; a pair of Japanese Meiji bronze kitsune foxes and a palace sized Tabriz rug.
