Description & Details

Hello, and thank you for taking a look at this sale.  There are a lot of clothing, shoes, purses, linens, bedding, and towels, even though there are no pictures (yet, we're adding more in a few days).  Here's a partial list of the pieces:

  • Lane Furniture end table (from 1967, Danish modern style)
  • Bose speakers (on stands, very likely 901 series)
  • Mikasa Peasantries, D2002 Early Morn dishware set
  • Lexington China, Flora pattern
  • a glass-top dining table with a driftwood base
  • a glass-top coffee table with a driftwood base
  • six Made in Italy metal-framed dining chairs with red cushions
  • a large blue Marge Carson suede sectional sofa
  • a Jeanne D'arc wooden sculpture by Marie Brower, (c) Marwal Industries, 1965

...and much, much more!  Priced to sell!

For your reference, this is the front of the house, so you know where to find the sale. This picture shows both the oval glass-top/driftwood dining table and the six matching Made in Italy chairs.Of course, this is the close-up picture of the Made in Italy lable. Here is another picture of the dining chair from Italy. And this is a picture of the driftwood base. Don't forget the rug underneath it!Here is a nice overview picture of the tabletop and the base. And the rug! This similarly-styled coffee table includes the glass-top and a driftwood base. There's a different rug underneath this one! Here is a top-down picture of the coffee table, base, and rug. With the table and rug you can see the Marge Carson suede sectional sofa. Here is another view of the rug, sectional sofa, and coffee table. There are a couple of other tables here, including the mid-century double-decker table, and the Danish modern end table (more on that later). This is the Marge Carson sofa label. Here is that end table in the Danish Modern (maybe a touch of mid-century?) This was made by Lane Furniture in 1967 (according to the serial number). This is the label for the end table. By the serial number, you can tell it was made 13 May 1967. If you know the Style Number code, that'll tell you more about the piece. This is an interesting black easy chair. The black covering makes showing the details a bit tricky, but it is in good shape. This chair certainly has a different style, with the metal frame and accents.Yet another black chair, but in a third style. Pick your poison, as they say. There are a number of baskets, and some artwork, some framed, some not, in the sale. This iron-framed table and chair set is also glass-topped...I'm sensing a theme here. This is the Mikasa Peasantries, Early Morn plate we mentioned in the description. You'll find a complete set here in the sale. This is the back of the Mikasa plate.Sale PictureSale PictureSale PictureSale PictureHere is a really cute three-drawer cabinet with a set of shelves above it.The main item here seems to be the vintage, distressed table with drawers, along with the kitchen appliances and utensils. This is a Whirlpool side-by-side, freezer on the bottom refrigerator. Stainless steel, too. This baker's rack can hold a bunch of items on it's three shelves. This is the Jeanne D'arc wooden sculpture signature......and this is the statue itself. This stylized cat statue certainly has a certain flair, don't you think? This dining table is also topped with glass, but the base is different. Also, there are eight matching chairs in the set. This is a better look at the table's base, with the twisted wood legs. And a top-down look at the table shows the double-square design (although the second square is tricky to see). These ten images appear to borrow from Peruvian art from a bygone era. (I could be wrong on the Peruvian origin, but I think it's correct.)Here we have a nice example of a drawer and cabinet piece, with a mirrored upper shelf. This overview shows a rug and chair shown elsewhere, but also the two Bose 901-series speakers, along with audio components on the shelves, and a framed art piece above the mantle. Little treasures abound in this sale; look everywhere. Here is a close-up of the Bose speaker, along with an audio component in the background. We did say there are lots of clothes in this sale. Here begins some of the proof. There's this closet...This table full of clothing, bedding, towels, etc....and these three racks of clothes. Here's an interesting vertical piece of art.Don't forget the books. Almost every house has them. Here are a few of the highlights of the clothes.More highlights in the clothing are here. And these pieces...... a couple of leather coats...... two more dresses...... three more dresses ...And this overview picture also shows the variety of items available.Don't forget to look in every corner.Or look in every closet (look! more clothes!)There is a stackable washer & dryer, too.And this horizontal depiction of the 1700's.
