Bill Berger, a Vienna native, fled Austria the night after Hitler’s invasion in 1938. He built a remarkable life in Sacramento over 46 years—serving in the Army Air Corps, founding Commonwealth Equity Trust, and serving on boards such as B&B Property Investments. He was a respected financial advisor and philanthropist. Mrs. Berger, the heart of the home, curated an elegant lifestyle—her wardrobe, furnishings, and entertaining style were legendary.
