Here's a little about Lane:

"Lane was an art history and theater arts major at NYU and the University of Colorado, Boulder before beginning her career as an advertising executive for Grey Advertising in NYC. She switched careers four times , from Grey Advertising to regional manager for Borders Books to a fashion accessories executive to director of human resources for the Philadelphia Flyers pro ice hockey team then on to VP HR for the NHL Stanley Cup champions, the Florida Panthers. Her true passion and life-long hobby was print making, and book binding with a particular interest in Japanese paper and design. She traveled the world including Japan and studied her craft at workshops in Paris. She was her family's "archivist" and collector of antiques including her maternal grandmother's furniture, silver and art. From her paternal grandfather she inherited Netsuke ivory figurines and tapestries which he collected while on assignment in Java and China, in the early 1900s for Standard Oil. She also collected books. Her grandmother owned a rare book shop in Princeton NJ in the 1960s and 70s. Her Mother Patricia McNitt was an interior designer in New York and Annapolis. Her father Wiliam Miller was president of the Elizabeth Arden salons and cosmetics international, based in London.  She had a keen eye for fashion, both clothes, Jewelry and accessories (huge collection of well-made handbags) which are all on display at her estate sale. Her friends and family marvel at her refined class and taste, timeless, understated and well curated. Lane considered the upper east side of Manhattan her 'hometown" but in her adult life lived in Old City Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Ft Lauderdale, Minneapolis and Washington DC. She is survived by her elder sister Patti Miller of San Francisco, a younger sister Hope Miller of Minneapolis and her brother Peter in Washington DC."
