Another Estate Sales By VENTES Sale....

About our client:

Please join us this weekend for a rather unique and interesting sale. Our client was born in Austria. She became an American citizen and has lived in the U.S. for over 40 years. A prolific guidebook author, especially focused on Atlanta and Georgia. Her notable works include: Atlanta: Sightseeing in 89 Pictures (1986). Atlanta in 88 Pictures: Self‑Guided Tours… (1993), Georgia in 88 Pictures: Sightseeing… (1996) , Savannah in 88 Pictures, a sibling volume in the “Cities in Color” series, also authored by Hoff—available alongside her other guidebooks. Her works often include multiple languages (English, French, German, Japanese), making them appealing to international travelers. Amazon author listings include various multi-city pictorial guidebooks (e.g., Santa Fe, Savannah), confirming her focus on visual, photo-based travel guides.A brief author page on Pomfret Street Books lists her 1993 Atlanta in 88 Pictures as available, indicating the enduring interest in her work. A LinkedIn profile shows she’s self-employed as a writer, currently based in Carlsbad—likely California—which may suggest travels or remote work beyond Atlanta. These are part of the Cities in Color pictorial guidebook series—designed for travelers to explore landmarks through vibrant photos and captions in multiple languages. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, which explains her strong emphasis on the city in her guidebooks—likely drawing from local knowledge and passion.
