Don’t let the Location fool you Estate sale!

Let me explain this sale.   Lots of people turn up their nose to Porterdale.  I have even heard people say “There isn’t anything in Porterdale but junk”.   I had a sale in Porterdale years ago and less than 10 people came.  That’s when I was told by my attendees (after I asked why was I not getting any people ) that folks don’t come to Porterdale to buy anything.   A few said folks only think of Porterdale as a low income area.  A friend of mine had a couple of sales also in Porterdale and he said it traffic was horrible.   Well folks the lady that owned the stuff I am selling was very well off.    She sold a big high dollar house in Savannah and moved to Porterdale as a pitstop until interest rates came down and she could buy another house. She got to Porterdale through a mutual friend asking me about my rentals.  Now unfortunately due to a family health crisis in Pennsylvania she had to move quickly back to Pennsylvania.  She took only what would fit in an SUV, and she had her best friend pack up six more boxes of personal items and ship to her.   Her friend tried to have an estate sale for her but attendance was pitiful.  Hey folks don’t let old town gossip stop you from  coming to this sale.   She bought only name brand high end stuff!!  There are probably 30 pair of brand new, brand name,  shoes plus some gently worn shoes.  Nice clothing, nice bed linens, a big bag of brand new with tag bras.  I heard through the grapevine that bras aren’t cheap.  Shoe sizes 7.0-7.5 and 8.0.  Bras are 38-D up to 40 something (I don’t remember).  There are all types of kitchen countertop appliances.  Tons of Kings Crown!!  There are two place settings of Royal Albert Old Country Rose and a platter.  
 

Her bedroom suite that I have on Marketplace for $975.00 was over $3500.00 from Pottery Barn.  She collected vintage lamps and  some pretty expensive ones at that.  She has a Labarge coffee table and mirror, Pottery Barn tables and some antique pieces.   Some great stuff for sure!
