New York Times featured Peninsula Neighborhood home Moving Sale

Our dear friend Cheryl Marks has kindly offered to promote this sale on our behalf

We are moving out West and cannot take all of our lovingly collected and often one-of-a-kind American, African and European items. The following are looking for new owners to appreciate and cherish them.

In furniture, we have a 1920s French Provincial style upcycled settee with down filled upholstery, a Blue Dot apple green sofa bought from Iowa City's Design Ranch, a Jarvis Bamboo Standing Desk, antique Victorian era drop-front oak secretary, early 20th century Arts and Crafts solid oak glass front bookcase, antique wooden storage cabinet, American Sheraton-style cherry wood side or end table circa 1820-1840, Cherry Wood Extendable dining room table with spare leaf, and a vintage IKEA HEMNES series 2-drawer red storage unit.

Collectibles include antique: English copper tea kettle with gooseneck spout, brass and wood school bell., solid silver pocket compass and American Waltham Watch Co. Pocket Watch, and silver napkin rings; vintage copper and brass tankard, Burley Clay stoneware crock, handcrafted Kenyan Turkana Ngide wooden fertility dolls and handcrafted African fork sistrum rattle; a nice collection of pull/trinket boxes in silver, abalone, metal and/or wood; and too-many-to-list other beautiful and delectable items - please see photographs.

We have almost a full gym in the basement - MATRIX Stationary Bike, Octane Fitness 37c Elliptical, Sunny Health & Fitness Rowing Machine, the original Bulletproof Vibe Vibrating Plate and other equipment that will not go with us, either. EDGE Scuba diving fins, camping equipment and a Sperti Vitamin D Lamp round out the Outdoor, Health and Wellness section downstairs.

Electrical and Electronics include an original Apple Macintosh M0001 computer with keyboard, mouse, and power cords, in working condition; and Epson Color Scanner, new in the box; Cambridge Audio Azur 640A Integrated Amplifier; and a Blueair Blue Pure 211+ Air Purifier plus filters. There is also a Danby dormitory refrigerator and a De Longhi space heater.

My husband is letting go of his Baroque music collection of fifty CDs of works by GF Handel, including many rare operas and oratorios, and the complete works of JS Bach comprising 160 CDs. A large book collection of rare editions, art and coffee table books (calling Art Spiegelman fans), works on and about South Africa, non-fiction and fiction, is all going at an advantageous price. There is also a set of the rare, discontinued journal nest: A Quarterly of Interiors, including the last issue #26 from Fall 2004.
