Registration
We manually approve all bidders who have never bid with us before and anyone with a HiBid score of under 10. If your bids are "pending" they will be approved as long as you meet our bidder qualifications. We do not approve bidders with a negative HiBid score, a recent history of non-payment, a history of chargebacks, a history of threatening or abusive behavior, accounts with non-matching or incomplete billing and shipping information and brand new bidder accounts with an unusually high number of registrations and bids in a short period of time.
Bidding
Metro Estate Sales online auctions are timed events and all bidding will close at specified times detailed in each lot.
SOFT CLOSE: Metro Estate Sales online auctions have an auto extend feature, such that if a bid is placed during the final 2 minutes of bidding, the auction bidding will automatically extend for an additional 2 minutes from the time that bid was placed. The auto extend feature remains active until no further bids are received within a two-minute time frame.
Pickup
Please make sure you have all of items before you leave. We do not offer refunds for missing items once you have left. Pickup location will be emailed with your settlement a few hours after the auction ends. We will provide you with a copy of your invoice. We do not offer early or late pickup.
If you would like to pay with cash, cashier’s check, or Venmo, please make a note when registering or contact Pam at 618-882-8888. Personal checks are not accepted.
Metro Estate Sales cannot move or help you load any item. You must bring boxes, trucks, trailers and movers. If Metro Estate Sales believe you will damage a client’s premises during furniture removal, we reserve the right to deny pick-up until the threat of potential damage is addressed.

Please be advised that Metro Estate Sales LLC does not grant extensions to refund considerations based upon authenticity due to shipping delays.

SHIPPING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Shipping is available at the buyers expense through Pak Mail of Collinsville Illinois (618) 346-4884. Pak Mail is a shipping company that charges a fee for labor and packing materials in addition to the cost of shipping your package. Shipping can be expensive, please keep this in mind when bidding and it is strongly suggested that you contact Pak Mail to obtain a quote before placing your bids. We do not offer refunds because you feel that the shipping cost is prohibitive. If you would like a shipping estimate, please call Pak Mail at (618) 346-4884 and they will be able to assist you.
If your address is outside of Missouri or Illinois, your items we will automatically prepare your order for shipping. If you are in Missouri or Illinois and want your items shipped, you must contact us regarding shipping your order. As a courtesy, we will deliver all items that require shipping to Pak Mail on the Tuesday following the auction and they will contact you regarding shipping options and payment within 7-10 days of the auction end. After the auction, any questions regarding the shipping of your items should be forwarded to the Pak Mail staff, including damage or missing packages. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that it is legal to ship any items purchased to your address. All orders must ship to the same address as the billing address for the credit card used for the auction order payment. We do not ship any items that are illegal according to USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, or your local, state or Federal regulations. We do not offer shipping of alcohol, liquids, furniture, flammable items, ammunition or firearms in any instance and we do not offer refunds if you purchase these items and cannot pick up in person.

* By placing a bid, bidder signifies that they have examined the photos of the items to their satisfaction, Metro Estate Sales Auction reserves the right to reject any bid at our sole discretion.
Metro Estate Sales does not test items for legitimacy. All descriptions are believed true. All measurements are approximate sizes..

HIGH BIDDERS The highest bidder on a lot shall be the buyer of the lot. The purchase price shall be the sum of: 1) the price at which the item is sold, plus 2) a buyers premium of 15%, plus 3) sales tax if applicable.
ACCEPTANCE The purchaser is legally liable to pay for all items purchased.
REGULATION OF BID The Auctioneer shall regulate the bidding and shall be the sole arbiter of any disputes. We reserve the right to withdraw property at any time before the sale and reject a bid from any bidder.
ONLINE BIDDING Metro Estate Sales. will not be liable for malfunctions, errors or omissions (hardware, software, electronic, human or otherwise), whether or not due to Metro Estate Sales LLC’s fault or negligence, resulting in the inaccurate transmittal of bids, the failure to execute bids or any other irregularity.
PAYMENT AND PICKUP Invoices will be charged to the card used to register and you will receive via email a "Paid" invoice with pickup instructions immediately following the auction. Any items left behind after the specified pick-up date or dates will be considered abandoned and will be forfeited.
RESALE: Auctioneers reserve the right to resell any property that is not paid for in full before pick-up. The Buyer shall be responsible to Auctioneers for any expenses of resale and collection and damages resulting from the resale.
INJURY & DAMAGE: Bidder acknowledges responsibility for any personal injury and/or property damage caused by Bidder or his Agent, and further agrees to hold Auctioneers, Owners, its Officers, or Employees harmless for any personal injury to himself and/or his Agents and any property damage incurred on pick-up premises.
RISK OF LOSS In the event delivery cannot be made because of loss due to fire, theft, or any other reason, Metro Estate Sales and Auction, LLC. shall only be liable for the return of any deposits or payments made by the purchaser.
Lots Sold to The Highest Bidder: The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. The auctioneer has the right to reject any bid, to advance the bidding at his or her absolute discretion and, in the event of any dispute between bidders or any other issue with respect to the highest bidder, to determine the successful bidder, to continue the bidding or to re-offer and resell the lot in question.
Buyer agrees to hold harmless Metro Estate Sales LLC and if officers, directors, members, agents and employees from and against all damages to goods and injuries to persons occurring or sustained on the premises during pickup.
Venue for the resolution of any disputes through civil action in the County Circuit Court where said property resides, as jurisdiction allows.
Should the Liquidator be included as a defendant in any action arising out of the Agreement, except for a breach of duty hereunder, whether plaintiff is the Seller or third party, the Seller agrees to indemnify and hold the Liquidator harmless and be responsible for all reasonable attorney’s fees incurred by the Liquidator in defense of the action.
The services are provided on a “best efforts” basis without warranty of any kind, express or implied warranties, liquidator does not guarantee that the services will result in any particular outcome.
By bidding, the buyer acknowledges and confirms that he/she has read the terms and condition and understands the terms and conditions set forth herein, and agree to be bound by said terms and conditions.
