Description & Details
A beautiful home! We have an amazing antique Thomas Sharp 18th century English grandfather / long case clock!
Thomas Sharp was a woodworker and clockmaker in Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon. History says the 18th century owner of Shakespeare's New Place home cut down the Bard's black mulberry tree in frustration due to all the tourists visiting the property. The wood from the felled tree was used by Thomas Sharp and other locals to create "memento mori" or early souvenir pieces for trade. This clock is most assuredly not made from mulberry wood, but is a creation of Thomas Sharp. Text or email for more presale information on the clock.
