Description & Details

We are setting the stage for another amazing living estate sale / tagged item sale.  The collector of these items must now part with them, as this person has downsized to a retirement villa.  The house, basement and garage, remain FULL of treasures.

We will be listing items throughout the month of May and June; posting pics as we sort and organize the treasures.  Many of the items are directly related to the theatre; specifically the Topeka Civic Theatre.  There will be costumes, musical scores, manuscripts, props and MUCH MORE.  This person also has managed a vendor booth at a local curio / antique shop in Topeka, for many years.  We will be liquidating hundreds of items, once sold in their store.  Put the 19th thru to 22nd of June on your calendar.  You won't want to miss this one.  Other items include cookware, vintage clothing, glassware, rare antiques and collectibles, furniture, appliances, movies, books, DVDs, movie posters, mid-century modern items, art deco items, movie 'window cards'; and much more.

Amongst the music and movies for sale, are dozens of new and shrink wrapped DVDs, gently used DVDs, old VHS movies, 'box sets' of classics, and dozens upon dozens of music CDs, soundtracks to movies; vary many differing styles of music.  There is an entire table laid out of Marilyn Monroe items; calendars, posters, ornaments, keepsakes, collectible items and much more.  There's so much Monroe stuff, that we ran out of room on this table, and some of it's stored underneath.  The main room is full of furniture, home decore, Asian stuff, lamps, candle holders, glassware and interesting conversation pieces. The kitchen and breakfast nook are jam packed with kitchen items, ranging from the mundane everyday item(s), to higher end cooking pieces and advanced culinary stuff.  Clothing is plentiful at this sale, including vintage sequined dresses, formal dresses, men's long wool coats, several new with tags men's items, costumes from plays and theatre events, shorts, pants, shirts and much more.  Posters, film cards, costumes sketches, theatre production items; the list goes on and on.  A large china hutch ( for sale too ) loaded with fine stemware, goblets, vintage table ware, classic and retro salt and pepper shakers, dozens of martini glasses, Waterford crystal items, decanters and beyond.  Thousands of Christmas style lights...boxes and boxes of LED, tradition bulbs and etc.; many of the strands and light kits, will be sold as "box lots", where YOU benefit from the boxes jam packed with lights.  In the garage are many common tool items too; mitre saw, tool boxes, hand tools, extension cords, lawn and garden items, home repair items, and beyond.  Box after box of classic and well preserved magazines; older Playboy issues in plastic, Saturday Evening Posts, and much more.  Movie and play posters....by the dozens!!

Art...wall art, large lithographs, large paintings, framed mirrors, reproductions, sketches, framed art, loose art suitable for framing...speaking of frames; there are several dozen picture frames of every imaginable size; many of them brand new with tags.

This is one of the most intense sales we've ever tackled.  The estate owner is alive and well, but has moved to a maintenance free home and their life long collections must go to new homes.  This person was a playwright, actor, director and producer of many forms of theatre.  This person's BIO includes Topeka Civic Theatre, New York Broadway plays, a theatre pub, and time spent working around the United States in other theaters'.   Not only was the theatre this person's passion and career, but this person also owned / operated one or more vendor booths at various antique and curio shops.  Many of the items for sale in this sale, come from these shops, which the estate owner is trying to divest themself of hundreds of items, which were once upon a time for sale in these curio / antique stores.

We are motivated to sell this estate and get these unique and interesting treasures to a new home.  As with most sales; all items will be sold for the price they are marked on the first day.  We WILL entertain reasonable offers on day 01; especially if you happen t find something that we missed pricing.  Days 02 -04; discounts go up!!  Third and final day, discounts will be significant.

We have hundreds of boxes and bags available for you to use for shopping...so don't worry if you left your favorite estate sale bag / box at home.  We've got you covered.

See you on June 19th, 2025 at 7:30am.   Parking WILL be a little tight in this neighborhood.

Most local Topeka residents, understand that Huntoon is a one-way thoroughfare; eastbound. There are sporadic “No Parking” from 7 AM to 9 AM signs along this route. There are many other streets nearby which intersect with Huntoon in this portion of College Hill. Please be advised that there will be some parking difficulty for the first couple hours of the day; each day. Once 9 AM passes… Huntoon is available for parking along the entire route. The sale will continue to start at 7:30 AM sharp! And hopefully people will find suitable parking at nearby streets and be able to walk these short distance to the yard & the house. Many apologies for this inconvenience however, it’s truly out of my control. Theater glitter drapes…. All are 7’ 5” long - can be used as curtains!!Jester costumePhantom of the opera costume
