*Do not block the street, make sure there’s plenty room for cars to pass, and don’t block anyone’s drive.
*We accept cash, and all forms of plastic.
* A 2.6% service fee will be collected for purchases made with cards.
* Bids will be accepted on items over 100.00. Your bid must be over one-half of the original price marked. (ex: original price 200.00, a bid should be at least 101.00) The highest bid will be the winning bid.
*Your bid is a binding offer. Do not submit a bid if you are not planning on following through with the purchase. We will call all winning bidders when the sale ends. You are responsible and must be available to take our call.
*Onsite Security.
Parking / Loading:
*We absolutely cannot help you move or load your things.
*No parking in driveway.
*Large items must be removed by 4:00 PM on Last day of sale. NO EXCEPTIONS!!
*Again, Buyer is responsible for making arrangements to remove and transport all purchased items.
*We have limited staff onsite, and are unable to help load your items. Please ensure you have help or movers available, otherwise do not purchase large Items. Sorry.

This sale celebrates the life of Jim McDowell — a man who followed his heart and never looked back. Leaving behind a secure career, Jim dove headfirst into the world of Thoroughbred Horse Racing at Louisiana Downs, where he became a valued part of the racing community. He was the kind of neighbor we all wanted. His home-grown vegetables became a staple for many. A conversation I had with his trash pick-up team brought this man's true nature to life.Jim would visit with them every opportunity, again sharing his fruits and vegetables along with sincere conversation. It was obvious to me the effort he gave resulted in a life well made, and he freely shared will many.
Jim lived fully, whether he was keeping meticulous records of race results or flying kites with the joy of a kid, or his actual photographs marking his participation at Woodstock, or at a Jimmy Buffett concert. His collection reflects a life well-lived and passions pursued with heart. It’s been a pleasure getting to know him through the treasures he left behind.
