Estate Pros
Description & Details
Welcome to the breathtaking Toma Lodge estate in Ruston, a timeless expression of Southern sophistication thoughtfully crafted by Jerry and Margie Drewett. Together, they collaborated with talented architects, craftsmen, and decorators to create a warm, inviting home designed for gracious entertaining. Following Margie’s passing, Jerry has lovingly maintained the estate for the past ten years.
Built on the historic site of the original Chautauqua Hotel, the home sits on land that once hosted the Louisiana Chautauqua—an influential cultural movement that became the forerunner of Louisiana Tech University. The property’s rich past is beautifully honored throughout, including the discovery and careful restoration of the original Chautauqua well. As a tribute to this legacy, a stunning mural depicting the Chautauqua’s early years spans the entire foyer wall, painted by Glenn Kennedy, BFA, Louisiana Tech.

This mission is especially meaningful to Jerry, as he personally supports Quiet Waters in honor of his special needs grandson.
At the sale, in the office, Marty Kwasny will be on-site offering a variety of Jerry’s handcrafted pieces, with proceeds helping to support the incredible work of Quiet Waters Ministries.
