A particularly interesting grouping consists of three framed African textile/quilt pieces from Global Views, intended to be displayed together to create an undulating visual effect across the wall.

The collection also includes work by metal artist Tommy Mitchell, whose work has been displayed at High Point Market and whose metal artistry has been adapted into decorative art, furniture and framed acrylic presentations.

Professional reframing was completed by Bruce White Galleries in Clawson, a to-the-trade framer utilizing quality professional framing materials.

Among the more unusual pieces are a pair of antique brass mantel clocks with family provenance connecting them to Rose Terrace, the historic Dodge estate in Grosse Pointe.

One is associated with Wright Kay Jewelers of Detroit.

One remains wind-up, while the other was converted to electric many years ago.

These are interesting decorative objects with a wonderful connection to Detroit-area history.
