Bassman Home Sale: Ceramics, Sculpture and Fiber ART

Welcome to the Bassman home sale. 
The pictures posted are a sampling of the pieces available at this sale. 

This sale features the ceramics of Victor Bassman, a well known and prolific St. Louis artist and mentor. Pieces available include landscapes, sculptures, and functional objects. Vic's work is inspired by travels, nature and the essence of lifeforms. The sculptures are generally female forms with animal characteristics. They are inspired by the interdependent relationships between mankind and animal. 
Linda and Guy Sachs are a St. Louis treasure! Linda is a talented fiber artist. Her designs in wool and hand embroidery reflect her passion for quilts, nature and folk art. Linda up-cycles materials with colorful fibers and embellishments to construct wearables (jackets, caps and pins), home decor and collages; 
Guy Sachs is an amazing ceramic artist and phenomenal instructor. His work is deeply rooted in the natural world and his experiences in diverse landscapes. Guy utilizes porcelain and stoneware to create organic one of kind functional pieces-cups, bowls, flasks, teapots and more.

All the ceramics are high fired in wood, soda and reduction environments.
