Rob had a deep appreciation for Victorian, Primitive, and Classic pieces, but he wasn’t confined to any one style or era. If a piece was beautiful, well-made, and spoke to him, he bought it. Age was important, but quality was paramount.

Rob also had a deep love of travel, which is wonderfully reflected in his collection of Louis Vuitton luggage and travel bags—elegant and practical companions on many journeys. His eye for excellence, his sense of adventure, and his passion for history are woven into every piece in this auction. Rob was not only a great friend to the KC Auction & Appraisal Company—he was one of my closest friends for more than 30 years. He will be dearly missed.
