Description & Details
This week’s auction brings together a wide mix of material, with strong representation across several categories. Militaria spans World War I, World War II, and beyond, including uniforms, headgear, insignia, photos, and documents from multiple countries. It’s a well-rounded group with depth and variety throughout.
Coins and currency are well represented, alongside a smaller selection of jewelry that still offers a few worthwhile pieces. There’s enough here to keep both casual buyers and more focused collectors engaged without leaning too heavily in one direction.
A few larger decorative items add visual interest, including a carved wooden Buddha along with a carved African chair and masks. These pieces bring scale and character, standing out among the more traditional antique and collectible offerings.
You’ll also find a mix of advertising and mechanical items, such as vintage signs—including porcelain John Deere examples—a coin-op trade stimulator, a Kellogg candlestick phone, and an antique mimeograph machine. These types of items continue to draw steady interest for both display and function.
Rounding things out are antique black powder firearms, sports memorabilia with a strong KU presence (including signed items), a case of Invicta watches alongside other clocks and watches, GI Joe and other vintage toys, games and systems, fireman helmets, knives, belt buckles, automobile-related items, vintage hi-fi, uranium glass, porcelain, crystal, crockery, furniture, and a large selection of photos and ephemera. Preview runs Wednesday from 11 to 1, doors open Thursday at 5, and the auction begins at 6.
