All Items are priced; cash, PayPal, or checks only. We do not accept credit cards, and we cannot hold merchandise. Most items remaining on the second Sunday will be reduced, however, bids may be submitted up until closing on the first Sunday and second Saturday of the sale for items $100 or more. Buyer is solely responsible for packing and moving merchandise by last day of sale. Buyers are responsible to secure help and transportation to load large items. All items must be moved by close of sale. Boss Fox Estate Sales is not responsible for accidents at the sale site. All Sales final. Mississippi State Sales Tax is collected on all sales. Dealers are required to provide a copy of their resale certificates and tax numbers for our files.

Boss Fox Estate Sales presents The Lee McCarty Collection, January 16-19 and 24-26, 2025. The sale will be in Bolivar County and the location will be disclosed on January 15. Pup and Lee McCarty were internationally renowned artists, and their pottery and jewelry graces homes everywhere and is highly and hotly sought by collectors. This sale offers the art, objets, books, and furniture with which Lee lived, collected, and enjoyed until the end of his life.

The sale will begin on Thursday, January 16, with an early bird ticketed party from 6-8 P.M. Tickets will be $25 each and ticket sale proceeds will support Delta Arts Alliance. Tickets are only available at the door and purchases may be made during this event. Sale hours on Fridays and Saturdays are 9-5, and 12-5 on Sundays.

This sale offers an extensive collection of furniture, silver, art, books, china, rugs, outdoor decor, and objets d’art. Every item in this sale was the property of Lee McCarty. Furniture includes several buffets and servers; breakfronts, chinoiserie china cabinet, and several European antique deux corps; enormous banquet table with griffin legs and 10 chairs; convertible dining table and 9 chairs; full tester bed and twin beds; Jacobean, Gothic, and Empire polychrome chairs; Howard baby grand piano from The Gallery restaurant; Empire sofas, benches, and loveseats; red painted captain chairs; occasional chairs and tables; equipal chairs; end tables; paintings, including several by Lee McCarty; sculptures; corner cabinet and jewelry display cabinet; slant front desks and bureau plats; secretaries and consoles; rugs; display pedestals; and mirrors; Rene Lalique signed and numbered crystal vase; sterling flatware, sterling punch ladles, Tiffany sterling ice bucket; Tiffany sterling beaker and repousse bowl; TWO sterling silver coffee services; mid-century silver service; antique ruby glass and cobalt cut to clear glass; American Brilliant Period cut glass; several sets of antique gilt candelabras; chandelier; dough bowls; Gothic candlesticks and crucifixes; extensive high-quality collection of art, decor, and cookbooks; large pair of vintage iron dogs; metal stag figures; elephant, deer, and rhinoceros metal sculptures; antique carved trunk; pair brass bound trunks; several marble sculptures; and so , so much more. Many of the cookbooks are signed and filled with copious notes, mainly by Lee, although several are annotated by both Pup and Lee.

Due to the size of the collection, there will be constant replenishment as items are sold, so you will want to come back to shop again and again!

Stickers of authenticity will be offered for each item purchased.
