All Items are priced; cash, PayPal, or checks only. We do not accept credit cards, and we cannot hold merchandise. Most items remaining on the second Sunday will be reduced, however, bids may be submitted up until closing on the first Sunday and second Saturday of the sale for items $100 or more. Buyer is solely responsible for packing and moving merchandise by last day of sale. Buyers are responsible to secure help and transportation to load large items. All items must be moved by close of sale. Boss Fox Estate Sales is not responsible for accidents at the sale site. All Sales final. Mississippi State Sales Tax is collected on all sales. Dealers are required to provide a copy of their resale certificates and tax numbers for our files.

Boss Fox Estate Sales presents The Lee McCarty Encore Sale, January 24-26, 2025. This sale would be better described as a RELOADING sale, because the sale site has been completely reloaded with fresh inventory from the vast collection of beautiful and intriguing items. Pup and Lee McCarty were internationally renowned artists, and their pottery and jewelry graces homes everywhere and is highly and hotly sought by collectors. This sale offers the art, objets, books, and furniture with which Lee lived, collected, and enjoyed until the end of his life.

The sale will begin on Friday, January 24. The sale contents will be the remainder of the vast collection at 25 percent discount with a whole new compliment of items, not yet seen. Sale hours on Friday and Saturday are 9-5, and 12-5 on Sunday.

This sale offers an extensive collection of furniture, silver, art, books, china, rugs, outdoor decor, and objets d’art. We have added many new pieces like a huge Asian Apothecary cabinet, a beautiful French writing desk, Baccarat stemware, black painted dining table, mid century blonde wooden chests, outdoor furniture. Some of these items were part of the first sale but are now at a reduced price, as well as many, many items just added to the sale from Lee's vast stockpile of all things interesting and beautiful, consolidated at this location. Every item in this sale was the property of Lee McCarty, and there are several iconic vintage pieces from the McCartys Pottery studio. Furniture includes buffets and servers; breakfronts, chinoiserie china cabinet, and several European antique deux corps; enormous banquet table with griffin legs and 10 chairs; twin beds; Jacobean, Gothic, and Empire polychrome chairs; Howard baby grand piano from The Gallery restaurant; Empire sofas, benches, and loveseats; occasional chairs and tables; bedside tables; paintings, including several by Lee McCarty; sculptures; bureau plats; secretaries and consoles; rugs; display pedestals; and mirrors; sterling flatware, sterling punch and soup ladles, Tiffany sterling ice bucket and repousse bowl; THREE sterling silver coffee services, antique ruby glass; American Brilliant Period cut glass; chandelier; extensive high-quality collection of art, decor, and cookbooks; large pair of vintage iron dogs, pair brass bound trunks and so , so much more. Many of the cookbooks are signed and filled with copious notes, mainly by Lee, although several are annotated by both Pup and Lee.
