J. Pratt and wife JoAn, both now deceased, led very interesting and fulfilling lives and careers. JoAn, an advocate of education, retired after a dedicated career spanning more than 40 years. J. Pratt, a lifelong dreamer, inventor and entrepreneur, developed and marketed the Weltron radio and electronics product line know the world over as “The Legendary ‘70’s Space Ball Radio/Stereo with the “New Shape of Sound”. A fascinating article published in the September 2020 issue of Our State magazine highlights his legacy and his innovations in the electronics field and beyond*. His company, Winston International, LTD, continues to thrive in the global electronics market and carries forward the mission that J. Pratt envisioned and nurtured from the very beginning.
