Payment Information — To bid or list an item, you must have valid payment information on file. By entering your card details, you authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card for the total purchase amount of any winning bids, plus applicable taxes and the standard buyer’s premium. You agree to maintain valid payment information while your account is active and confirm you are authorized to use the provided card. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, Caring Transitions may suspend your bidding privileges and pursue collection, including late fees permitted by law.
Commitment to Purchase — Placing a bid is a binding agreement. If you are the winning bidder, you are responsible for paying for and picking up your item(s), or making approved shipping/delivery arrangements. Please do not bid unless you intend to complete the purchase.
Pickup Requirements — Winning bidders must pick up purchases during the scheduled pickup window, unless prior arrangements for shipping/delivery have been made. Buyers must bring their own tools and help to move large or heavy items. Loading assistance is not provided, and some items may be located on stairs, basements, or outbuildings.
Alternative Pickup / Holding Fees — If you cannot attend during the scheduled pickup time, you must contact us prior to pickup. Alternative arrangements are not guaranteed. If granted, a $50 fee may apply. Small lots may be held at our studio only if pre-arranged, at $10 per day. Items not collected within 7 days (without communication) will be considered forfeited and no refunds issued.
Invoices & Payments — Receipts are emailed once the sale closes and payment is secured. Invoices under $5,000 will be automatically charged to the primary card on file. Invoices over $5,000 will be charged a 10% deposit, with the balance due before pickup or shipping. Items cannot be released until invoices are paid in full.
Shipping — Shipping is available for some items at the buyer’s expense.
• Small, non-fragile items may be shipped via USPS flat rate boxes.
• Larger, fragile, or special-handling items are shipped via UPS.
• Handling fee: $10 for the first lot, $8 for each additional lot.
• Insurance is required for items valued over $100.
• Not all lots are eligible for shipping — please inquire in advance at ogerroll@caringtransitions.com.
Separate invoices for shipping/delivery will be provided. These must be approved and paid by the buyer before shipment, as we cannot unilaterally charge your card once the auction invoice has been settled.
Failure to Pay or Collect — If payment is not received or items are not collected during the scheduled pickup, purchases will be forfeited and resold or donated. No refunds will be given. Bidding privileges may be revoked.
Taxes & Fees — A 15% buyer’s premium and 7% sales tax are added to all winning bids.
Condition of Items — We strive to describe items as accurately as possible. Expect normal wear consistent with antiques, vintage, or used goods. Not all flaws are listed. All items are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS,” with no warranties or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of clocks, watches, electronics, or mechanical devices. Dimensions provided may be approximate.
Auction Close — Auctions use a soft close. If a bid is placed in the final minutes, the ending time will extend briefly to allow additional bids, simulating a live auction.
Payment Information
Upon Item win, your card on file will be automatically processed for payment.
Receipts are emailed to winning Bidders once the sale has completely closed and payment is secured.
To view your receipt, Login to your CTBIDS Account and go to: Invoices/Receipts.
Caring Transitions reserves the right to re-sell items that are not paid for by noon the day before pick-up.

Shipping Information
Local pick up is preferred.
Shipping is available for some items at the buyer's expense. Shipping is only to the address on file when account and payment information is entered.
We use USPS Mail for items that fit in a flat rate box.
For large, fragile, or other types of items requiring special handling or other special attention we use UPS for packing and shipping.
We charge a $10 handling fee for the first lot and $8 for each additional lot for items needing to be shipped.
We will NOT ship without insurance for items over $100.
After your sale invoice is paid, you will receive a separate invoice for shipping and handling charges. Depending on the size of the sale and amount of shipping, it may be several days after pickup before you receive your shipping invoice.

All items must be paid for before they are picked up or shipped.
