Registration:
Bidders must create a CTBids account and maintain a valid payment method before placing bids. New users should complete all required registration information and sign in before participating in an auction.

Bidding:
You must be signed in and have a valid payment method on file to place a bid.
CTBids auctions use an extended bidding system designed to operate similarly to a live auction. If a bid is placed near an item's scheduled closing time, additional time may be added to allow other bidders an opportunity to respond.
If identical bid amounts are submitted, priority is generally given to the bid that was placed first.
Bidders may also enter a maximum bid. The system will automatically place incremental bids on the bidder's behalf, up to the maximum amount entered.

Payment:
Payment must be completed within the timeframe specified in the auction listing or invoice.
Winning bidders should review their CTBids account for invoices and receipts. If an invoice is not received by email, bidders should log in to their account and check the Invoices/Receipts section.
Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the transaction, additional fees where permitted, and/or suspension of bidding privileges.

Identification:
For higher-value purchases, a valid government-issued photo ID may be required before the item is released.
The name on the ID should match the winning bidder or an authorized pickup person. The seller may request additional verification when reasonably necessary to confirm the identity of the buyer or authorized pickup person.

Pickup:
Winning bidders are responsible for collecting their purchases during the scheduled pickup date and time shown in the auction listing or on their invoice.
The exact pickup address will be provided to winning bidders when applicable.
If someone other than the winning bidder will be picking up the items, the buyer should notify the seller in advance and provide the authorized person's full name.
Buyers are responsible for bringing all necessary labor, vehicles, tools, packing materials, carts, dollies, and other equipment required to safely remove and transport their purchases.
Unless otherwise stated, staff may not be available or authorized to assist with lifting, moving, loading, disassembly, or transportation.
Items not removed during the designated pickup period may be considered abandoned and may be donated, disposed of, resold, or otherwise handled at the seller's discretion without refund.

Shipping and Delivery:
Shipping or delivery may be available for select items and is not guaranteed unless specifically stated in the listing.
Large, heavy, fragile, oversized, or otherwise restricted items may not be eligible for shipping.
Any shipping, handling, packing, delivery, insurance, or related charges are the buyer's responsibility unless otherwise stated. These charges may be invoiced separately and must be paid before items are released or shipped.
Buyers should confirm shipping eligibility before bidding if they are unable to attend the scheduled pickup.

Condition of Items:
All items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranties or guarantees unless specifically stated in the listing.
Descriptions, photographs, measurements, condition notes, and other information are provided as a convenience and should not be considered a substitute for the buyer's own evaluation.
Buyers are encouraged to review all available photos, descriptions, measurements, condition information, and other listing details before bidding.
All sales are final. No refunds, returns, exchanges, or credits will be provided except where required by applicable law or expressly authorized by the seller.

Binding Bids:
Placing a bid constitutes an agreement to purchase the item if you are the winning bidder.
A winning bid creates a binding purchase obligation between the buyer and seller.
Bidders are responsible for reviewing item descriptions, photographs, pickup requirements, shipping restrictions, payment requirements, and auction terms before submitting a bid.
Bids should not be placed unless the bidder intends and is able to complete the purchase.

Unclaimed or Abandoned Items:
Items that are not paid for, picked up, shipped, or otherwise collected according to the auction's stated requirements may be considered abandoned.
Abandoned items may be donated, resold, disposed of, or otherwise handled at the seller's discretion without refund or credit to the buyer.
Failure to pay for or collect purchases may also result in suspension or restriction of the bidder's CTBids account.

Payment Method on File / Express Checkout:
By maintaining a payment method on file, bidders confirm that the payment information provided is valid and that they are authorized to use the designated payment method.
Bidders are responsible for keeping their payment information current for as long as they maintain an account.
If a payment method is declined or an outstanding balance remains unpaid, amounts owed may be collected using other authorized payment methods on file or through other lawful collection methods.
Applicable late fees, collection costs, shipping charges, handling charges, storage charges, or other permitted fees may apply in accordance with the auction listing, platform terms, and applicable law.
The seller or Caring Transitions may hold purchased items until payment has been successfully processed and cleared.
If shipping or delivery is arranged, any related invoice must be paid before the item is shipped, delivered, or otherwise released.

Auction Changes and Account Restrictions:
Caring Transitions and/or the seller reserves the right, where permitted by applicable terms and law, to correct listing errors, withdraw items, cancel bids, cancel listings, combine or separate lots, modify auction schedules, or restrict or suspend bidding privileges.
Bidding privileges may be restricted or suspended for reasons including non-payment, repeated failure to attend scheduled pickups, invalid payment information, suspected fraudulent activity, or violation of auction or platform terms.

Pickup and Removal Responsibility:
The buyer assumes responsibility for safely removing purchased items from the property.
The buyer is responsible for any damage caused during the removal, disassembly, loading, or transportation of purchased items.
Buyers should verify that items can be safely removed from the property before bidding, particularly for furniture, appliances, safes, exercise equipment, oversized items, or items located on upper or lower floors.

Personal Property and Item Removal:
Only items specifically included in the winning lot may be removed.
Furniture, fixtures, containers, shelving, accessories, décor, or other property shown in photographs may not be included unless specifically described as part of the lot.
Buyers are responsible for verifying exactly what is included in each listing before bidding.

Acceptance of Terms:
By registering, bidding, or purchasing through CTBids, bidders acknowledge that they have reviewed and agreed to the applicable auction terms, CTBids platform terms, item-specific conditions, payment requirements, and pickup or shipping instructions.
Auction-specific information, including pickup dates, locations, shipping availability, deadlines, fees, and seller contact information, will be provided within the applicable auction listing.
In the event of a conflict between these general terms and auction-specific terms, the auction-specific terms and applicable CTBids platform policies will govern.
