Terms & Conditions
1. All bidders and buyers shall present satisfying documentation prior to the approval of this auction.
2. All property is sold 'as is' and neither Coastal Consignment nor the listing agent makes any warranties or representation or any kind or nature with respect to the property, and in no event shall they be responsible for the correctness, nor deemed to have made any representation or warranty, or description, genuineness, authorship, attribution, provenance, period, culture, source, origin, or condition of the property and no statement made at the sale, or in the bill of sale, or invoice, or in the catalog, or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty of representation or an assumption of liability. Prospective buyers are urged to inspect those lots in which they have an interest.
3. Except as provided in paragraph 1 above, the highest bidder as determined by Coastal Consignment shall be the purchaser. In the case of a disputed bid, the auctioneer shall have sole discretion in determining the purchaser and may also, at his or her election, withdraw the lot or reoffer the lot for sale. The auctioneer shall have sole discretion to refuse any bid, or refuse to acknowledge any bidder.
4. Payments can be made through Live Auctioneers, wire transfer, or check by mail. Please contact sales@coastalconsignmentco.com to arraange payment. Coastal Consignment reserves the right to hold merchandise purchased until the funds have cleared.
5. If the purchaser breaches any of its obligations under these Conditions of Sale, including its obligation to pay in full the purchase price of all items for which it was the highest successful bidder, Coastal Consignment may exercise all of its rights and remedies under the law including, without limitation, (a) canceling the sale and applying any payments made by the purchaser to the damages caused by the purchaser's breach, and/or (b) offering at public auction, without reserve, any lot or item for which the purchaser has breached any of its obligations, including its obligation to pay in full the purchase price, holding the purchaser liable for any deficiency plus all costs of sale.
6. Bidding on any item indicates your acceptance of these terms and all other terms printed within, posted, and announced at the time of sale.
7. All sales are final and no refunds will be granted.
8. When you win an item, we will send you an invoice for it. If you have a credit card on file with LiveAuctioneers, it will be charged the balance on the invoice within 24 hours after the invoice is sent. If there is no payment method on file with Live Auctioneers, payment arrangements can be made by contacting sales@coastalconsignmentco.com or by paying on the Live Auctioneers payment platform.
9. Packing and Shipping. Shipping arrangements are available directly through Coastal Consignment. Coastal Consignment is not responsible for damage or breakage which may occur during packing and handling and shipping by your chosen shipper and/or packer of your purchased lots, whether or not recommended by Coastal Consignment. Handling, packing and shipping of purchased lots is at the entire risk of the buyer and all claims should be filed with your chosen shipper/packer. INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS:Please note that any import/export costs or fees are to be paid by the Purchaser. In the event a Buyer chooses to return an item, any costs related to the return will be deducted from the final refund amount.
Please note: shipping costs, buyers premium and processing fees will be deducted from the refund amount. Refunds will be for the item hammer price only. The refund process may take up to 30 days.
10. Return policy. All sales are final. All items are sold as is. If an Item is damaged in shipping we will file a claim with the insurance company and refund the item. In the event that the item does not match the lot description, Buyer has 5 days after delivery to contact Coastal Consignment for a full refund. Refunds will be given at the sole discretion of Coastal Consignment. Refunds will be determined on an individual basis. All refunds must be preauthorized before returning the item. All return requests must be in writing via email to sales@coastalconsignmentco.com. Do NOT return any item until a refund authorization has been obtained from Coastal Consignment. Items must be in their original condition as purchased. Refunds will not be issued until item has been returned and inspected by Coastal Consignment. Upon receipt and inspection of the item, refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
