Thunderbird Auto Auction – How It Will Be Run

• November 20 – Viewing Day

Buyers can view the vehicles in person, inspect them.

• November 21 – Viewing Day

Second viewing day for anyone who needs more time or couldn’t make the first day.

• November 22 – Bidding & Finalization

All bidding happens on the 22nd, and each vehicle will be finalized that same day

a list of closing times of each vehicle is posted.

How Bidding Works

• Each vehicle will close in 15-minute increments
  (Example: Car 1 at 1:00, Car 2 at 1:15, Car 3 at 1:30.)
• During each 15-minute window, all registered bidders will have the opportunity to counter any bid.
• Bids can be placed:
  • In person
  • By phone
  • By text from the registered phone number
• All bids must be in $200 increments, unless a bidder chooses to jump higher.

Starting Bid

The starting bid is the owner’s lowest acceptable number.

Example

If the starting bid is $10,000, a bidder may:

• Bid $10,000,
• Increase to $10,200,
• Or skip ahead and say something like, “I’ll pay $15,000.”

Any strategy is allowed — minimal increments or big jumps.

If There Are No Bids

If a vehicle receives no bids at or above the starting bid, post-sale offers will be considered.

For example:

• The opening bid is $10,000
• You want to offer $8,000
• If no one bids during the auction, we will present your $8,000 offer to the family for review.

You will receive an answer within 24 hours.
