This is another One-of-a-Kind Sale for Santa Fe! We are conducting the estate sale in stages—this is Stage One—and it will be well worth every step down the gravel driveway.

This wonderful couple met, fell in love, and married while attending the University of Illinois. He was the center for the Fighting Illini, and she was pursuing a degree in education. Life soon took a new direction when he was called to serve at Fort Riley, Kansas. After John completed his service, the couple returned to Chicago, where they built a rich and fulfilling life together—traveling, learning, working, and following their many shared interests, including fishing, football, sailing, collecting, big band and ballroom dancing, and helping others.

They embraced life to the fullest alongside their two children. Upon retirement, they made Santa Fe their home, where they became active members of the Santa Fe Garden Club and gracious hosts of many “Behind Adobe Walls” programs.

Constant companions, John and Bonnie loved entertaining both new and old friends and were endlessly curious about the world around them. Their collection reflects a lifetime of adventure and appreciation for beauty—spanning continents, cultures, and eras.
