Stage Two and Final Estate Sale for This Special Property
The estate has been sold by Ashley Margetson with Sotheby’s International Realty.
This is another One-of-a-Kind Sale for Santa Fe!
This is the Final Estate Sale for this home, and it will be well worth every step down the gravel driveway.
This wonderful couple met, fell in love, and married while attending the University of Illinois. John was the center for the Fighting Illini, while Bonnie was pursuing a degree in education. Life soon took them in a new direction when John was called to serve at Fort Riley, Kansas.
After completing his military service, John and Bonnie returned to Chicago, where they built a rich and fulfilling life together. They traveled, learned, worked, and embraced an extraordinary range of shared interests, including fishing, football, sailing, collecting, big band and ballroom dancing, and helping others.
Upon retirement, they made Santa Fe their home. They became active members of the Santa Fe Garden Club and graciously opened their home to host many “Behind Adobe Walls” programs.
Constant companions, John and Bonnie loved entertaining both old friends and new acquaintances. They were endlessly curious about the world around them and appreciated the beauty, history, and stories found in the things they collected. Their collection reflects a lifetime of adventure, discovery, and appreciation for beauty, spanning continents, cultures, and eras.
We hope you will join us for this very special final sale and help carry some of their cherished treasures into new and beautiful homes.
