Welcome to Newel's premier live auction! Founded in 1939, Newel Galleries is recognized worldwide as one of NYC's top destinations for fine antiques, art, and modern design. Since its inception, Newel has also been the preferred source for elegant set decoration in movies, television, Broadway, and advertising. Now, we are excited to expand our offerings by introducing estate auctions. Our first auction features treasures from Newel's extensive archive, spanning the Italian Renaissance to contemporary design. Highlights include a rare Philip and Kelvin Laverne "Repose" coffee table, a Harry Bertoia wall sculpture, furniture and treasures from Imperial Russia, a collection of Renaissance-era carved figures and art panels, and a selection of fine French, English, and American antiques, decorative objects, and folk art.
