IF THERE IS ANY TERM THAT YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND OR DO NOT WISH TO AGREE TO, PLEASE DISCUSS IT WITH A REPRESENTATIVE OF NEWEL LLC ('NEWEL'). ONLY PROCEED WITH THIS TRANSACTION IF YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT BELOW.

1. Purpose and Effect
The following terms and conditions set out all the terms of agreement, other than price, between you (the buyer) and Newel LLC (the seller) in relation to the sale and purchase of the item(s) identified in the invoice (referred to as the 'work'). We confirm that we either own the work or are authorized to sell it on behalf of the owner. Any variation or addition to these terms and conditions must be agreed to in writing by Newel LLC.
2. Statements About the Work
2.1. All items are sold AS IS. Any and all statements by Newel LLC regarding the authenticity, attribution, description, date, age, provenance, title, or condition of the work constitute our judgment and opinion only and are not warranted. We do not accept any liability for any changes in expert opinion post-sale, except for cases of fraudulent misrepresentation.
2.2. Newel LLC does not warrant and is not authorized to certify UL Laboratory compliance for any item.
2.3. While we will, upon request, explain the condition of the work and provide any reasonable information, we are not responsible for any subsequent deterioration of the work after the sale.
2.4. Buyers are responsible for satisfying themselves about statements made by Newel LLC regarding the matters outlined above.
3. Newel Post-Auction Pickup and Shipping Information
Newel does not handle any shipping arrangements, nor can we assist in the loading of items into your transport. Please review the following information regarding pickup and shipping options and instructions.
Picking Up
Items must be collected within 14 days of the auction's conclusion. Items left beyond 14 days without prior arrangements will incur a $5/day storage fee. Pickups can be scheduled starting 2 business days after the sale concludes.

Pickup Appointments
All pickups require an appointment with at least 24 hours prior notice. We will do our best to accommodate all requested pick-up dates and time.
Loading Dock
For larger furniture, heavy, or delicate items, ensure you or your third-party shipper provides sufficient assistance to move the property from our loading dock to your vehicle. We can only bring items to our loading dock and do not assist with loading into vehicles. The loading dock does not have a drive up ramp and messengers must be prepared to lower items 4 feet from the loading dock to the ground / truck bed. Shippers are responsible for wrapping, packing, moving all items and should arrive prepared with the appropriate materials. Newel is not responsible for unattended items.
Third-Party Shippers
If using a third-party shipper, please email us in advance with the name of the company/person authorized to receive your property.
4. Shipping

Generate a quote and book shipment directly through LiveAuctioneers. If you accept their quote, the cost will be added to your invoice. LiveAuctioneers will handle all arrangements.

5. Payment
ALL SALES ARE FINAL!
Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Wire Transfer. Payments must be completed within five days of the auction's end for Internet bidders and within one hour for in-person bidders. Credit card payments can be made online or by phone at .
All credit card purchases are subject to a 3% fee.
Total due if paid by credit card: All Purchases Subject to "Terms and Conditions of Sale."
We do not accept personal checks or PayPal under any circumstances.
6. Condition of Items
All lots are sold AS IS, WHERE IS. No statements made regarding the age, condition, value, or quality of any lot, whether made orally or in writing, shall be construed as a warranty, either express or implied. Newel LLC does not offer refunds based on condition. It is the purchaser's responsibility to inspect items or request additional condition reports before bidding.
7. Bidding
All bidders must be pre-registered and approved by Newel LLC. Bidders may bid in person, by absentee bid, or via the Internet. Newel LLC is not responsible for failure to execute absentee bids or for electronic failures, including those caused by third-party platforms (e.g., LiveAuctioneers). Auctioneers reserve the right to reject any bids. Lots are sold to the highest bidder as determined by the auctioneer. Internet bidders should register at least two hours before the auction.
8. Buyer's Premium
A buyer's premium of 25% applies to successful bids. State and local sales taxes will apply to all purchases unless the purchaser provides proof of exemption.
9. Removal of Property
All property must be removed at the purchaser's expense by 5:00 PM on the Monday following the sale date for in-person purchases. Internet purchases must be picked up within 10 days of the auction. If property is not removed within the specified time, a storage fee of $25.00 per lot per day will apply. After 30 days, Newel LLC reserves the right to sell the property at auction without further notice, with proceeds retained as storage fees. Title transfers at the conclusion of the auction, and any damage, loss, or theft after the auction ends will be at the buyer's expense.
10. Indemnification
Buyers agree to indemnify and hold Newel LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities resulting from any issues arising from third-party auction platforms, including but not limited to LiveAuctioneers. Newel LLC is not responsible for errors, failures, or disruptions of third-party auction platforms.
11. Buyer Responsibility for Legal Transport & CITES Compliance
The buyer is solely responsible for ensuring that purchased items comply with all local, state, federal, and international laws regarding transport. This includes the legality of transporting materials such as ivory, tortoiseshell, or other endangered species. The buyer is responsible for obtaining any necessary documentation, including but not limited to CITES permits, for items containing endangered species. Newel LLC is not responsible for obtaining these permits or for any delays related to the failure to secure proper documentation.
12. Auctioneer's Discretion
The auctioneer reserves the right to reject bids, determine bidding increments, and resolve disputes at their sole discretion. All auction sales are final.
13. Copyright
All images and text in the auction catalog are the exclusive property of Newel LLC. No reproduction or use of these materials is permitted without the express written consent of Newel LLC. The buyer acknowledges that the copyrights to all images and descriptions remain the property of Newel LLC.
14. Miscellaneous
14.1 These terms and conditions bind and inure to the benefit of the parties' assigns, successors, trustees, heirs, executors, and administrators.
14.2 Neither Newel LLC nor the buyer's failure to insist upon strict performance of any provision of these terms shall be deemed a waiver of any rights.
14.3 This transaction is governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any legal proceedings must be conducted in New York County.
14.4 The invalidity of any portion of these terms and conditions shall not affect the remainder.
