For Local Pick-ups, bring your invoice and identification to retrieve your items. Once the item has been paid for, winners will receive the address via email.

Bring packing materials as we cannot supply them. More oversized items may require you to bring additional help. Staff is not available to help you to your car. Movers may be available at an added cost. We cannot guarantee availability.

Frank Strnd was intimately associated with aviation for more than half a century. A well-respected Historian, his writings on the subject have been published internationally, and he is a consultant to authors, artists, and museums. The restoration of Lindbergh's "Jenny" was initially located by him, and he was an integral part of the restoration. He was a pilot, an aviation photographer, and an ardent collector of aviation memorabilia specializing in Long Island. Republic Aviation also employed him for 31 years. A member of the Aviation/Space Writers Association, the American Aviation H.S., Aircraft Owners & pilots ass., Cross & Cockade International (Society of WW1 Historians), the OX-5 Aviation Pioneers, Long Island Early Filers Club (as trustee), the Antique Airplane Association, the P-47 Alumni Association (he was past president) and life members of Long Island Heritage. Where did he find the time?
He graduated from Brooklyn Tech and Roosevelt Field School of Aviation and worked for American Airlines, Grumman, and Republic.

During WW2, he taught South American military pilots and mechanics at the Republic Aviation School in Farmingdale.
He owned three aircraft, the oldest being a 1940 Cub Coupe and a PT-19. He flew the Republic F-105F and certified many pilots. He held a commercial license with single-engine land and sea ratings.
As a photographer, His photos adorned magazine covers and were used in advertising.
Frank donated over 2000 hours restoring the P-47 at the Cradle of Aviation Museum located at Mitchell Field.
