About the Artist: Alan Alexander Munro

Alan retired as Professor Emeritus of Art at Oregon State University, Serving with distinction from 1962 until 1995. Prior to that he taught art at the University of Iowa and Huntington High in Huntington, Long Island NY. He was the art director for two years at KARD television station in Wichita, Kansas after receiving a master fine arts degree in 1956 from Wichita State University. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Peabody College for teachers (Vanderbilt University) in Nashville Tennessee having attended on a national art scholarship. He served in Army Special Services in Korea During the Korean War. During a life-long devotion to his art, Alan developed a masterly use of his means of expression and a style distinctly his own. He was a superb artist and colorist par excellence who created vibrant and captivating abstract paintings that have been featured in gallery's all across the United States.

Aside from the 500 - 700 original one-of-a-kind oil and watercolor paintings, some of which have been showcased in art galleries from New York to San Francisco and all over the United States. Some of the paintings were never offered to the public and were from Alans private collection, some student pieces as well as artwork from colleagues he closely worked with while he was teaching at OSU. There are some great Rare Mid-Century Modern and Scan Design Furniture Pieces as well along with a full home with other fine decor, A full Kitchen, Women's Clothing, Purses etc, Lamps, Cameras, Electronics and all the great usable items one would find during their shopping experience.
