Uncommon vintage 1920's-1960's Hi-Fi Audio & Vinyl - Silent auction

Saturday, August 22nd, 1-3pm.

Many uncommon items from an old Laurelhurst estate that have been in storage for decades. Collections of early 1950s Hi-Fi, early and collectible vinyl LPs and 45s, turntables, speakers, and unusual electronics. "Silent" bid sale. Stay tuned: In the coming weeks there will be sales of the estate's large collections of 78 RPM & Cylinder records, as well as, Chinese & Japanese paintings on scrolls, plus rare books - All fresh from storage since 2010.

A LOW-STRESS "Silent" AUCTION

This is a walk-around silent auction bid sale. "Low-stress": meaning that during the walk-around closing of the auction, interested buyers have opportunity to add to their bid -- this eliminates any rushing or athleticism in the sale. Items will have - LOW starting bids. NO reserve. NO buyer's premium. NO sales tax.

ABOUT THE "Silent" AUCTION PROCESS

As you enter, you will receive your bidder number. Each lot will have a bright yellow bid sheet nearby with a brief description and minimum starting bid price.

BIDDING

To place a bid, write your bidder number and dollar bid amount on the next available line on the bid sheet. Whole dollars only. The item goes to the highest bidder present at closing. There are no reserve prices.

AUCTION CLOSING begins at 2pm

The staff will make announcements giving everyone plenty of warning as closing time for each item approaches.

If there are items you are particularly interested in and want to make certain you get in your best bid, stand near that item's bid sheet and the auction closer will give you and other interested bidders opportunity for further bids.

You must be present to win your bid, otherwise, the next highest bidder present is awarded the item.
