The April 25, 2025 Fine Estates Auction is an online only auction. All bidding will take place online.
By registering to bid and/or submitting any bid, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
We thank you for your interest and participation.
REGISTRATION
- In order to bid in this auction on the Live Auctioneers platform, you must register online through Live Auctioneers.
- Bidders with no or limited history with Briggs Auction may be required to provide us with additional information that may include but may not be limited to:
- A photo or scan of their driver's license
- A photo or scan of a current utility bill with name and address matching the driver's license and submitted bidder registration details.
- ALL BIDDERS MUST BE REGISTERED AND APPROVED BY 5PM on THURSDAY, APRIL 24, 2025. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE APPROVAL TO BID IN THIS AUCTION AFTER 5PM ON APRIL 24, 2025.
BIDDING
- Bidding for this auction will be ONLINE ONLY.
- Online absentee/pre-auction bids will be accepted prior to the auction start time. At 10AM on April 25, 2025, the auction will offer real-time, online-only bidding.
- Telephone bidding is not available for this auction.
- Owner or Owner's Agent may not bid on his/her own items.
- The Auction record kept by Auctioneer and Clerk is final.
- The highest bidder for each lot shall be the buyer, and if any dispute arises as to any bidding, or between two or more bidders, the auctioneer will have sole discretion to determine the successful bidder, or the disputed lot shall be offered again at the last undisputed bid and resold.
BUYER'S PREMIUM / SALES TAX
- The Buyer's Premium of 28% will be added to each successful bid.
- PA Residents and all buyers who pick up merchandise in person are required to pay PA State Sales Tax (6%) on each sale, including the buyer's premium, unless exempted by law.
- Live Auctioneers will collect sales tax in all other states as applicable. Sales tax is based on the bidders stated Shipping Address.
- If you have a tax exemption number, you must add it to your Live Auctioneers account. We are unable to remove sales tax from a Live Auctioneers invoice if there is no tax exemption certificate registered to the account.
- Note: your sales tax exemption must be from the same state as your shipping address in order for sales tax to be removed.
PAYMENT
- Successful on-line bidders will be notified following the auction and will be provided an invoice and payment details.
- The Live Auctioneers Auto Pay feature is enabled for this auction. If you wish to opt out of Auto Pay, please inform Briggs Auction either before the auction ends, or prior to the Auto Pay date noted on your invoice.
- Full payment may be made via the Live Auctioneers payment link; through Live Auctioneer's Auto Pay; you may mail a check which must clear before any item will be released for pickup or shipping; or by wire transfer, please contact us for details.
- Payment in full is due within fourteen (14) days of the auction if you opt out of Auto Pay.
- Briggs Auction is unable to accept a credit card payment over the phone for a Live Auctioneers invoice.
MERCHANDISE PICKUP | SHIPPING | STORAGE FEES
- All items in this auction are located at Briggs Auction, Inc.: 1347 Naamans Creek Rd., Garnet Valley, PA 19060.
- All items must be removed or have shipping arranged within 30 days of the auction before storage fees apply.
- Any item not removed or arranged to ship after 60 days will be deemed abandoned.
- No item may be removed or will be released for shipping until full payment of merchandise has been made.
In-Person Merchandise Pickup:
- Pickup is available Saturdays from 9AM-3PM with no appointment needed, and Mondays-Fridays by appointment. Please schedule online: https://booking.appointy.com/en-US/briggsauction/bookings/calendar
- Buyers are responsible for ensuring that they have their own packing materials and equipment needed to collect their items.
- Bidders who pick up their purchased items in person are responsible for examining all items at the time of pickup and assuring themselves as to condition before removing any item. No item may be returned for condition issues once it has been removed from Briggs Auction, and no refund or merchandise credit will be offered for any item's condition after it has been picked up and removed by the bidder.

- All self-arranged shipping requires a written authorization. Please email info@briggsauction.com.
- All self-arranged shipping, packing, and handling costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
- Items will only be shipped to the bidder's listed shipping address.

MERCHANDISE OFFERED
- All items are sold AS IS, WITHOUT GUARANTEE. We urge you to request additional condition details and photographs to allow you to bid according to your own expertise.
- Lot announcements, listings, photographs, and catalog information are for descriptive purposes only. Items with power cords are not tested prior to the auction.
- Any condition details listed are offered as courtesy to bidders, and are opinions only, not statements of fact, and do not imply any warranty concerning condition, or any assumption of liability. The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is perfect or free from wear, flaws, or characteristics of age. Briggs Auction, Inc. is not responsible for errors and/or omissions of condition.
- All diamonds and gemstones are graded in the mounting, unless otherwise specified. Colored gemstones are presumed to have been subjected to commonly used enhancement processes.
- Briggs Auction does not warranty watches and clocks at the time of the auction or after its purchase. Potential buyers should be advised that though the piece may be running at the time of cataloging, it may stop running before the auction and servicing is recommended for all timepieces and clocks.
- It is the buyer's responsibility to be informed of any import laws of their country. Winning bidders will not be released from any item due to import regulations.
- By participating in Briggs Auction, Inc.'s auction, you are agreeing that the auction is occurring in Pennsylvania, merchandise is being struck off in Pennsylvania, contract of sale is being entered in Pennsylvania, and payments will be made in Pennsylvania.
- All announcements made on the day of the auction supersede any other previously announced or published materials.
