Terms & Conditions
Freeman Yoder Auctions Online Terms & Conditions
Effective November 2025
Thank you for bidding with Freeman Yoder Auctions.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing any bids.
By registering and bidding in any Freeman Yoder Auctions sale, whether online or in person, you agree to the following terms.
Our goal is to keep the process transparent, fair, and easy to understand for everyone.
1. Buyer?s Premium
A 15% Buyer?s Premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot.
This premium becomes part of your total purchase price.
2. Lot Descriptions & Measurements
Measurements listed for lots that include multiple items reflect the overall combined size of the group, not individual items.
If you need exact measurements or additional details, please contact us before bidding.
Descriptions are made in good faith, but we encourage bidders to verify details that matter to them.
3. Shipping & Pickup (except for firearms and ammunition)
Shipping
Freeman Yoder Auctions no longer provides in-house shipping.
We partner with The Packengers to handle packing and shipping after each auction.
Once your invoice is paid in full, The Packengers will pick up your items, pack them professionally, and communicate directly with you about shipping costs and delivery.
Shipping fees are handled directly with The Packengers.
Pickup
You may also pick up items in person at the Freeman Yoder Auction Center.
Buyers may also arrange their own shipping if preferred.
4. Payment Terms
Freeman Yoder Auctions accepts the following forms of payment:
Credit cards (U.S. billing addresses only)
Personal or business checks (items released after check clears)
Cash
Cashier?s checks
Bank wire transfers (add $25 fee)
Important:
We do not accept credit card payments over the phone or online for coins, bullion, or jewelry, unless the bidder is well-known to Freeman Yoder Auctions and in good standing.
If paying by credit card, items can only be shipped to the card?s billing address.
Payments made via online auction platforms may include additional processing fees.
Credit card payments made directly to Freeman Yoder Auctions by phone incur a 4% processing fee.
5. Sales Tax
Pennsylvania buyers: 6% PA sales tax will be added to invoices unless a valid sales tax exemption certificate is provided.
Out-of-state buyers: Some online auction platforms automatically charge and remit sales tax based on your location. Freeman Yoder Auctions does not control these charges. Please contact your bidding platform directly with any tax exemption documentation.
6. Bidding Rules
All bidders must be registered on their preferred online platform (AuctionZip, LiveAuctioneers, HiBid, BidSpirit, or BidSquare).
No bid retractions are permitted once submitted online.
Freeman Yoder Auctions cannot cancel or remove bids placed through online platforms.
Each bidder is responsible for all bids placed from their account or device.
If both a floor and online bid are received for the same amount, floor bids take precedence.
Internet bidding is provided as a service. While we strive for accuracy, technical errors can occur, and no guarantee is made that every online bid will be received or executed.
7. Item Condition & Warranties
All items are sold ?as is? and ?where is,? without any warranties or guarantees.
All sales are final; no returns or refunds will be accepted.
Some lots may carry a reserve price (a confidential minimum). The auctioneer may bid on behalf of the consignor to protect that reserve but will never bid above it.
Descriptions and photographs are provided in good faith, but Freeman Yoder Auctions is not liable for errors or omissions.
If you have any questions about an item?s condition or details, please ask before bidding.
8. Firearms & Restricted Items
Firearms will only be shipped to a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.
Some states also require ammunition to be shipped to an FFL address.
Buyers are responsible for knowing and complying with all federal, state, and local laws.
Certain platforms may not allow online payment for firearms, ammunition, knives, or restricted items. In those cases, alternate payment arrangements (cash, wire, or cleared check) will be required.
9. Disputes & Auctioneer?s Authority
Freeman Yoder Auctions reserves the right to withdraw, combine, or divide lots at its discretion.
The auctioneer?s decision is final in all disputes.
If a dispute arises regarding a winning bid, Freeman Yoder Auctions may, at its sole discretion, reopen the bidding or cancel the sale.
Participation in our auctions implies acceptance of these terms.
