Terms and Conditions for Bidders
Welcome to Caring Transitions' estate sale auction. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before participating. By placing a bid, you agree to adhere to these terms.
1. Agreement to Purchase
Placing a bid is a binding agreement to purchase the item(s) if you are the highest bidder.
Please bid only if you intend to complete the purchase.
2. Pickup Arrangements
Winners must be available to pick up their item(s) on the scheduled pickup date.
If you cannot attend the pickup, you must arrange for someone else to collect your items or make prior shipping arrangements.
3. Loading and Transport
Buyers are responsible for bringing necessary tools and assistance for moving large or heavy items.
Loading assistance is NOT available.
Items may be located on upper floors, in basements, or in outbuildings; please plan accordingly.
4. Invoicing and Payment
Invoices will be emailed to winning bidders after the sale closes.
Payment is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice.
Full payment must be made by the date and time specified in the item listing.
Accepted payment methods include major credit or debit cards and PayPal.
A valid credit card must be on file to participate.
5. Failure to Pay or Collect Items
If we do not receive payment by the deadline, your items may be forfeited and resold to the next highest bidder.
Failure to pay or pick up items may result in revocation of bidding privileges for future auctions.
6. Shipping Options
Shipping is available for select items, as indicated in the item listing.
If you require shipping, please email us at ctocharlestonsc@gmail.com before bidding to confirm availability.
Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be added to your invoice.
We ship via USPS, UPS and FedEx and charge a handling fee of $15 for the first item and $10 for each additional item.
7. Payment Before Pickup or Shipping
All items must be paid for in full before they are picked up or shipped.
Items will not be released without confirmed payment.
Unpaid items by the local pickup date and time will be considered forfeited.
8. Buyer's Premium
An 18% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final bid amount of each item when invoiced.
9. Item Condition and Description
We strive to describe items accurately, noting any known imperfections.
All items are sold "AS IS" and "WHERE IS" without warranties or guarantees.
Expect normal signs of wear consistent with antiques, vintage, and used items.
We do not guarantee the working condition of clocks, watches, electronics, or mechanical devices.
Dimensions provided are approximate.
10. Liability
Caring Transitions is not responsible for accidents or injuries incurred during the pickup of items.
Buyers assume all risks when removing items from the property.
11. Abandoned Items
Items not picked up during the scheduled time will be considered abandoned.
Abandoned items may be donated or resold without refund to the buyer.
