This Fort Worth Traditions Estate will take you back in time, with a heavy emphasis on American Glass back through the Depression Era and Pop Culture that gets stuck in the Mid 20th Century with Figural Ceramics. The estate then carries us on into the 1970’s for a decade or two of Rock n’ Roll LP’s, modernizing Camera Equipment, home decor and kitchen appliances, and then finally lands us here in the 21st Century with some iPhones and such. All along the way you will find items that are New In Box and some, like Kitchen Gadgets and Arts and Crafts, that would even be considered New Old Stock.
There are almost 40 of those Mid Century Nursery Planters shaped like Boy or Girl Booties, Doll Carriages, Carousel Horses, etc. You may find a Shawnee or a Hull in here, but most are 1950’s - 1960’s Japanese Exports, like Napco. About half a dozen or so Vintage Ceramic Cookie Jars will take you back to Gramma’s kitchen. Matt Dillon is here from Gunsmoke and is flanked by Jim Bowie and Cochise. Don’t miss the Disney Figurines, from Cinderella to Aladdin with Bambi and 101 Dalmatians somewhere in between.
And then there’s the furniture. Some REGAL, like the Italian Leather Louis XV French-Style Tufted Armchair, some ANTIQUE, like the Antique Draw Leaf Table w/ Leather Top in Center Section, some MID CENTURY, like the Nightstands / End Tables, and Laminate Cabinet with those sliding doors. We have one newer piece that is QUITE UNIQUE and is a File Cabinet shaped like a stack of old Steamer Trunks. Also newer and nice are the four Oriental-Style Area Rugs offered in this estate auction. For a touch of class, that most certainly is Fort Worth, be sure to seek out the Ornately Framed MMA & Renoir Prints that brought a touch of the old into newer, upscale & traditional decor styles.
That pretty much sums it up. A splice of life in Fort Worth over the 20th and early 21st Centuries. We hope you enjoy viewing and bidding in this auction and wish you GOOD LUCK from Live Oak Auctions.
