Description & Details

Treasure seekers, come join us for a weekend of exploring a Packed home in Chesapeake of the beloved Mrs. Weaver. She was a teacher of 39 years at Indian River High School . This home is filled with MANY CHRISTMAS Items such as Department 56 houses with accessories and Jim Shore Santa Figurines, vintage boat motors & parts, colonial decor, Jewelry, watches, vintage clothing, outdoor items, Ethan Allen Furniture, books, kitchen items, artwork, patio furniture, fall decor, and much more. For our handy friends, we have a garage and shed packed of tools.  More pictures will be added each day prior to the sale. We like to thank you all for your continued support!

Betty Lou Parker Weaver, was a proud, brave person through and through, teaching history and government at Indian River High School for 39 years. She sponsored various activities including SCA, Yearbook, Alpha Omega Phi Tri Hi Y and many senior classes.  

She was the Constitution Teacher of the Year for the VA Bar Association in 1991 and also a finalist for the Teacher of the year for the Chesapeake Public School System in 1991.  She was honored by ODU with a membership on the Golden Pride Club and by the Norfolk YMCA with an award for Service to Youth.  She was also one of the founding sisters of Alpha Xi Delta at Old Dominion University. 

She served four years on the Chesapeake Planning Commission.  She was very active in the Chesapeake Pilot Club, serving in numerous capacities, including President in 1989.
