Richard and Char Travis are in their 90’s and this sale speaks to their life together and of all the things they loved.  Richard was the head of the generator department at the Kohler Co. and traveled to many areas of the world.  His wife was well known for her artistic talents.  Both studied with Jim Michaels, exceptional watercolor artist from Sheboygan.  Their interest also included Sailing and membership in The Sheboygan Yacht Club.  There is also an extensive area of tools and items relating to boating.  The home is on 4 levels and every room is packed to the max.  Bring your friends, this sale will be one you will long remember.

 The Living Room:  Vintage 1980's polished cotton blue and burgundy colored paisley sofa...Pair of bold striped arm chairs...Narrow painted wall cabinet...Tall plant pedestal...4 high iron chairs with leather seats...Some lovely antique glassware and dishes including a brides basket from 1900, covered compote, Royal Doulton balloon man and lady, cup and saucer collection, white Bavaria serving dishes, so much more...Little bird collection, bird houses and an old wood bird cage...2 Antique dolls from around 1900, a china head and a bisque doll...Kerosene lamps...Stereoptic viewer and cards...Old valentines...Cabinet filled with barware plus an iron holder for bottles...The Kitchen:  Cookware, Corelle, ice cream maker, waffle irons, juicer, tea post, pieces of blue Fiesta and some vintage Poppytrail dishes.

The Christmas Room:  Just off the kitchen is a room we have filled with beautiful Holiday items.  Large Santa with lighted lamp post...An especially nice large Nativity set...Pair of Nutcracker candle holders...2 slim Christmas trees...Ornaments, houses, mugs, garlands, bows, etc... Plush Christmas bears...Antique child section has salesman sample waffle iron and flat irons...Dolls and small toys...Tekno the robotic puppy, year 2000.

Upstairs:  Large bedroom set with an Oriental influence, this set needs a large bedroom - Queen size bed with large headboard with attached side nightstands, chest of drawers and dresser with mirror.  This gorgeous set also has a matching cedar chest - if you need a set, this one is exceptional.   This room is devoted to men and there are some hats and wonderful clothes in sizes M-L including a tux with accessories...In the other room are all ladies’ clothes plus a vintage wedding and bridesmaid dress...The hall has our Oriental things in a tall display cabinet, fans, clothes, dolls, odds and ends from travels.

The ART Room Is on sensory overload with hundreds of framed and unframed watercolors by Char Travis and other artists.  You will be amazed at how lovely some of these are.  There are also boards for painting and for framing.  The art of Jim Michael is also in this sale.  On the bookshelves are a library of classics, older books and sets.  The next room is devoted to linens.  We also have vintage children’s clothes and a trunk filled with costumes for Halloween.  There is also a vintage Girl Scout uniform with books from the 1950's.   Next is the attached Greenhouse with plants that definitely need a new home.

The Lower Room is filled with all types of games and puzzles...Paperback books and all types of paper items...Movies, CDs, a table filled with older records, many 45's and some sets...Electronics include a computer and other players...Next, the Executive Office, overflowing, the walls are filled to the ceiling with office related items...There are 2 desk chairs...The top shelf has years of Readers Digest books, if someone does crafts with them they are all like new and I'd guess about 150 or more of them.

The Tool Room:  We have a lot of everything.  Shelves and shelves of everything you find in a hardware store.  We also have a router table and skill saw.  There are enamel cabinets to keep your supplies in.  Lightbulbs and electrical items in the adjoining room.  Loads of plastic milk crates everywhere. 

The Garage:  The center of the garage is our boating area.  Books, supplies, all types of things important to someone with a boat...Boat related items...There are also about 15 old oak wall phones for parts or projects…Yard carts…Benches…Lots of misc. buckets, milk crates and supplies…Outdoor patio set with 4 chairs...Birdbath...Lawn ornaments...This garage is packed with goodies for the handyman or boater.
