The only regularly scheduled auction of its kind in the world, this auction will span Black history and culture from the eighteenth through twenty-first centuries. Book highlights include a 1903 first edition, first printing or "The Souls of Black Folk" by W.E.B. Du Bois. Photographs include works by the important early Black photographers John Presley Ball and Daniel Freeman, and two 1898 photo albums from a Louisville community center show basketball games, theatrical productions, and overcrowded classrooms.
