Auction Background
Join us online in the Conneaut Lake area for a 7-day online auction featuring a diverse selection of power equipment(mower, splitter, saw), furnishings, patio furniture, grill, tools, super fun e-trike, useful packaged lots, Longaberger baskets and more-all looking to be re-homed, re-used in a sustainable way. Each item will have a brief description along with measurements if applicable. If the power equipment, etc. was tested and ran, it will be noted. The pick-up for the auction will either occur at the home in Conneaut Lake if you'd like to pick up there or our warehouse in Erie if it's easier for you to pick up in the Erie area.
A preview hour will be available where you can physically view and test the offerings in person as well. The online auction is hosted at estatesales.net where you can get in on the bidding action. If you hadn't already done so, you'll need to sign-up for a simple account on estatesales.net to actively bid.
Sit back, relax and bid from the comfort of your own home on a great auction selection and most importantly, have fun with it!
Important Sale Dates:
Online Auction Bidding
Friday, August 14th-Friday, August 21st.Item bidding will start to close at 6pm on Friday, August 21st with the very last items up for auction ending at 8:00pm. Please pay attention to the countdown clock under each item for accurate ending times.
Preview/Inspection Day of Auction Offerings
Tuesday, August 18th 5-6pm. Please call or text Chris at 814-504-9532 to schedule an appointment for the preview hour.
Pick-Up Day
Tuesday, August 25th
An email will be sent to all winning bidders within one hour after the conclusion of the auction with the exact address of where to pick-up your items along with any other pertinent information. Please check your spam/junk folder as well for the communication.
The winning bids can either be picked up from the house in Conneaut on pick-up day or picked up at our warehouse space in Erie on a later day that week on a case-by-case basis for this particular auction.
Auction Format
The online auction bidding is a "hard close" process , similar to Ebay, as opposed to a "soft close" process used by other online auction platforms, which extends the time if there is active bidding towards the end. There is no time extension using this particular platform. The bidding ends when the allotted time for each item expires, which is displayed under each item.
Also, entering a maximum "max" bid doesn't necessarily mean you will pay your maximum bid. The system will automatically keep bidding on your behalf against other bidders up to your placed "max" bid for convenience purposes.
Bidding Example
You are bidding on a lamp and place a max bid of $58.00 towards the end of the auction. The auction ends on the item and you win the item for $39.00. This means the next highest bidder had a high bid of $38.00, however you were willing to go up to $58.00. Your maximum bid doesn’t automatically jump to that amount when you place the bid. The bid only is increased if there are other bidders actively bidding on the item. Your maximum bids are hidden from other bidders, essentially creating a level playing field.
