Client’s family is rich with generational treasures and stories. Featured is a Jenny Lind trunk. When the family home caught fire, the trunk survived because the daughter entered the burning house to retrieve it—her trousseau safely inside. Another very rare find are two (2) slipper chairs. According to family history, this slipper chair is believed to have belonged to a Confederate general. The chair originally featured wheels, allowing it to be easily moved. It was later purchased by the family's grandmother from a Methodist church in Durham, where they had been donated by the original owner’s family. Just in time...
