Robin Trammell and her Remax team was the realtor we chose when we decided to sell our home of 36 years. We met with other realtors and we are so glad we chose Robin. My wife and I had the daunting task of emptying and fixing up the house that my mother-in-law lived in until her passing a year earlier. We were getting hit with utilities bills and property taxes that were jumping with the economy of 2022. Big question in our minds was how we would be able to take care of fixing up the house, maintaining the property and finding a means to empty the house. I realized we needed help to do all this. It was late in the year and the holiday season would soon be upon us.

In October, we checked out our options and found The Perfect Piece. I met with Robin for the first time as she visited the house to see what was needed. She looked through the house and I could tell she was thinking of the possibilities. She warned that the market although a slowing one, was still very good for folks selling a modest 3/2 ranch that held some appeal. Robin’s pragmatic approach was reassuring. She laid out how after we got the personal items removed, something she was empathetic to, that a sale could occur.

I was duly impressed with the efficiency of her staff. They categorized, organized, valued and tagged literally everything in the house. From the big screen TV to the jelly glasses. They were an experienced lot. Knowing to secure the remotes so they did not walk off. After all it was a yard sale inside a house

The sale took place on a Friday afternoon, and all day Saturday. It was a huge success! Some of the things sold were of great surprise, although not the jelly glasses remained. Linens, kitchen gadgets, coffee maker, barbeque tools, furniture, you name it. A good portion was sold. I was so intent on seeing the house empty I did not care about getting money. That these workers did all this for a cut less than half had me grinning to get all that work and receive a just reward.

The staff was considerate of our neighbors making sure that folks parked on the house side of the street only and marked barriers to enforce that. My neighbors were impressed with the amount of traffic seen that Saturday. When done, most of the remainder went to AmVets, which I was happy to see things like a few pieces of furniture and odds and ends.

Amidst all this activity, Robin found an available handyman/painter that took care of sprucing up the back deck with some fresh paint and a bit inside as well. Add to that a thorough power washing of the entry way and driveway and the house was ready to sell.

See that was the bonus. Besides having Robin direct the prep of the house, she was truly a knowledgeable realtor. I knew from the beginning that we were in good hands. She guided us through the process, never having sold a house before. From when to market, what to fix and what NOT to fix. Most things she deemed unnecessary to be fixed. While we did not get the rush of lookers that occurred 6 months earlier, the presentation on the ReMax site definitely did justice.

When it came to offers, she knew the good ones and had gotten to know us and what our priorities were. We were definitely on the same page.

Before Christmas, we had a rock solid offer from very enthusiastic buyers. We did not get what we asked for, but we got what we wanted out of the sale. I would definitely recommend Robin and the Perfect Piece if you want a professional that has your interests at heart.John C.January 2023

Robin was great from the start. She was very professional and asked me about my history with the house and the investments I had made. Robin walked the entire house inside and out and stated she had to do some additional research on comps. She was concerned that the comps she pulled were far too low for quality of house I was about to put on the market. She staged all of the pictures and we kept the staging for the sale. House was listed on a Monday evening and we had multiple offers the following day.
