I have been a real estate agent for 35 years. I owned a very high-end property in Andover but it was time to downsize. I had always been very curious about estate sales but had my concerns. We really did not know what we were in for. After selling the house much more quickly than we expected we never thought we would get the house ready for the new owners in time. We had friends recommend Ruthanne and thankfully she was able to prepare the place and put on a wonderful estate sale. In addition to years worth of collectibles, my husband had many original pieces of his own artwork. She was able to sell most of his pieces but more importantly, she stored numerous unsold pieces and promised us that she would try to sell them for us after we moved to Florida. I recently had the pleasure of attending an estate sale conducted by Curious Cat (in North Reading). The sale was extremely well organized and the pricing was very fair. The organizers were very polite and helpful - they were able to provide information about the various antiques and furnishings. One of the pieces of furniture I purchased was too large for my SUV, so Robert and Ruth arranged for its delivery to my home. I attend a lot of estate sales and this was one of the best run sales I have been to in the Boston area. I will certainly be looking for additional sales run by Curious Cat.

I met Ruthanne and Robert yesterday at an Estate Sale they were hosting in North Reading. This was an incredible sale! There was an entire woodworker’s workshop for sale—well cared for machinery and all the bells and whistles. (kudos to the owner Leo M.). This collection was epic with many high-end machines. A friend and I were looking to acquire machinery to build a business of our own. The pricing was fair and we bundled many items and found the negotiating process very friendly and a lot of fun. We spent the entire day there and managed to come away with a high value collection for a fair price. The folks running this sale knew a lot about the value and function of all the items which allowed us to be more informed. They helped to dismantle some of the machines and even helped move them out. The friendly banter made the day an absolute treat. I would strongly recommend Curious Cat Estate Sales. In fact, they are a class act in every way. Hope to run into you guy again.
