I recently hired the Bethesda Downsizing and Estate Sales team to manage a downsizing sale prior to moving from my home for a huge renovation project. This project had been on the calendar for sometime (pre-COVID). When it was time for the sale, they were not able to conduct an actual in-person sale due to social distancing and limitations of crowd size. The team working on my sale was led by Joanna, and they spent days researching, photographing, describing, and pricing the items. The entire sale was conducted on-line. The images of items to be sold were amazing and comprehensive, sales were handled electronically, and the company provided either curbside pickup or delivery service. In four grueling months, we cleaned, painted and staged the house for sale, sold it, and then sorted through unending stuff of life rediscovered as we stripped away the layers. We had never done an estate/downsizing sale so we visited local sales in the area. We chose Bethesda Downsizing and Estate Sales (BDES) based on a visit by a company representative who gave us advice and reviewed what our downsizing needs were. This helpful consult lead us to signing a contract.
