am very grateful to Melanie and her staff. Our move was going to be very hard as we had been in the same house many years and had accumulated tons of things. Our intention was to downsize and save in moving costs, so we decided to hire Hydrangeas to help us do it.
Melanie, is knowledgeable, patient and helpful. She was respectful of our needs and wishes. Frankly, Melanie took a huge load off of us not only by selling quite a bit of stuff, but also making sure that what ever was left over was donated to a wonderful charity and then cleaned out.
We never felt worried that she would not be accountable. Trusting some one with all your household items without having an itemized log of every towel, chair, or what ever there is, it’s extremely hard. Nevertheless, for what we have seen and experienced with Hydrangeas, they are honest and very much in control of what happens before and after the sale. Melanie is wonderful on many levels! After my mother died suddenly I was left to clean out and prepare her house for sale, I had no idea where or how to begin, especially because I live in a different state. The attorney told me to rent a dumpster and throw everything away, I was horrified with such a cold statement. I scheduled several appointments with estate sales companies, most did not show up and one told me “there were no collections “, despite that I had sent pictures. Melanie came to the scheduled appointment and I immediately knew that she would treat my mother’s possessions as if they were from a member of her own family. EVERYTHING that Melanie said she would do she did, from start to finish (sale, donations, clean out). I initially spoke with Melanie because of the name of her company, Hydrangea, was my mother’s favorite flower, but Melanie became such an integral part of my life at a time when I needed to have caring, helpful people help me!

reached out to Melanie on a whim after hearing from a neighbor how good she is at what she does. She was very quick to respond and asked for a few photos of things we would like to sell. We were very short on time since the house was being listed for sale the next week and needed to be cleared out.

Well, Melanie was an all time dream to work with! After sending her some photos she called me and said she could do a 1 day sale that upcoming Sunday which just happened to be Father’s Day. Mel and her team were extremely professional through the entire lead up to, the sale itself, and the post sale process. They double checked to make sure if there was anything not for sale that we hadn’t let her know about in advance.

We got more money than we could have imagined for the items she sold for us. She took a few things that didn’t sell with the hope she could sell them and she did sell them!

Melanie and her team are so fun and friendly and easy to work with. Not one hesitation in recommending her. I don’t know how she knows so much about so many things but she does!

Working with Melanie and Hydrangeas' Estate Sales was a wonderful experience. In reading reviews of some other estate sale companies, I was very nervous - it seems like there are a lot of con artists out there! But from the first interaction, Melanie put my mind at ease. Her professionalism, ethics, and commitment to making the sale the best it could be were outstanding at every level. She has an amazing and loyal team who all worked tirelessly to get my dad's (very full!) house organized, photographed, and marketed. I was especially impressed with the price she got for the car that was part of the sale. The post-sale organization was very thorough and clear. And her contacts in the industry are amazing. She is truly full-service, connecting me with a service that takes donations for charity to come and take a truckload of non-saleable furniture and items. She also coordinates a cleanout of everything that cannot be sold or donated. Melanie went above and beyond helping us with the contents of my mother-in-law’s house.
