Gary Rogers, Owner/Auctioneer Bio:
Gary Rogers was born & raised as a son of a Southern family, and it shows! Born into a military family he, his father & grandfather (going back several more generations) are all PROUD U.S. MILITARY VETERANS.
He was taught to respect Family, Church & Country. Respect (& manners) were very important in his Christian country home. Before the internet & with the closest library some miles away, he was interested in the crafts & trade of Upholstery & Refinishing of fine furniture where he learned the time-honored basics of furniture woods, styles and construction technique, repair and refinishing in a workshop ran by his family. This early introduction, in retrospect, was the foundational knowledge necessary to identify period styles to evaluate, appraise & Auction American material culture of the last 300+ years! After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force, was honorably discharged, worked in the defense support industry before finally ending his technical career in the computer chip manufacturing industry. For the last twenty years he has worked in the Estate Sale business, operated antique malls, became an Auctioneer where he currently is occupied selling, appraising almost everything, including Real Estate.
