This painting was done in 1968, a year before Zupan became an American citizen. It was his impression of New York City. It was purchased at his solo exhibition at the Columbus Museum.

Bruno Zupan was born in Trbovlje, Solvenia. He became a painter, and met Jane Richie, an American student from Columbus, Ga, who was studying at the Sorbonne. They married in 1964, and he became an American citizen in 1969. From that time the couple have led a nomadic lifestyle between Mallorca, Paris, Venice, and Columbus.
In 1969 and in 2000 Zupan had exhibitions at the Columbus Museaum. He has exhibited widely on three continents, over 150 one-man exhibitions, and published fifty limited edition graphic works in Paris and Mallorca.
