Henry Moore personally photographed his sculptures from the 1930's until late in hiscareer. Often, moreover, he rephotographed
in colour many older works when they passed through his studios a second time or appeared in exhibitions.
The illustrations in this volume include about five hundred of his photographs, augmented by material from other
photographers held in the Henry Moore Foundation archives. These illustrations are arranged within a chronological framework and show the development of Moore's work from his early carvings of the 1920's and 1930's, through the stringed figures,
reclining figures, family groups and two and three piece sculptures to the monumental outdoor pieces of the 1970's. While it is not
intended to be a complete catalogue, all of Moore's important works are included in this beautiful volume.
The text is by the artist. Fresh observations on many of the works illustrated have been recorded and selected by David Mitchinson especially for this book. These comments, together with quotations from published sources and much hitherto unpublished material, give a unique insight into the many different aspects of the work of Britain's foremost sculptor of the twentieth century.

If you fail to pick up your item at the time agreed upon ,and have not arranged for delivery, we will have to consider the piece abandoned and no refunds will be provided since the opportunity to sell the item to another customer will have passed and the house needs to be cleaned out. We do our best to provide detailed descriptions and pictures of our items so you know exactly what you'll be receiving.
