🐘Small table: Floral carved center. 4 elephant legs. 17.5” tall 14.5” diameter. Oldest of the pair. Tusks are possibly bone (they show some calcifying). 3 elephant ears are missing, 2 tusks are missing, and 1 cobra carving is missing.
🐘Large table: Elephant carved center. 4 elephant legs. 23.5” tall 23” diameter. 1 elephant ear is broken off. I have the broken piece, it just needs to be reattached.
⭐️These tables are of Burmese or Indian origin, dating back to the late 19th or early 20th century, around the 1880s to the early 1900s, reflecting the Anglo-Indian aesthetic of the period.
⭐️They are made from solid hardwood. Either teak or rosewood. They feature extensive hand-carving, especially on the elephant-shaped legs and the tabletop, they showcase detailed scenes and motifs.
⭐️The tables have hexagonal tops supported by four intricately carved elephant legs, and look great together in a nesting style.
⭐️Their detailed craftsmanship, historical significance, and unique design make these elephant tables highly collectible antique furniture pieces.
