1978 United States Proof Set in its original government packaging.

Proof sets are specially minted coins with a mirror-like finish, intended for collectors.

Key details:

Contents: The set contains six coins: a Lincoln cent, Jefferson nickel, Roosevelt dime, Washington quarter, Kennedy half dollar, and an Eisenhower dollar.

Mint: All coins in this set were struck at the San Francisco Mint.

Significance: 1978 was the final year the Eisenhower Dollar was included in the clad proof sets.

Packaging: The coins are housed in a hard plastic case within an outer black envelope.
